Ole Miss vs. Georgia Player Prop Picks: Best Prop Bets & TD Picks for Week 8

Don’t be fooled by the seemingly low passing yardage number on Gunner Stockton’s Ole Miss vs. Georgia player prop — it’s actually inflated, and the Bulldogs’ quarterback isn’t going to hit it.

It’s one of three SEC clashes pitting Top 20 teams against one another, and I’m firing off a trio of Ole Miss vs. Georgia player props for Saturday’s matinee matchup at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).

Although No. 5 Ole Miss comes in with the higher ranking and unblemished 6-0 record, No. 9 Georgia (5-1) is a substantial 7-point betting favorite at home.

Despite that, I’m backing one of the Rebels’ top receivers with one of my college football picks — and fading Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton with another of my college football predictions for Week 8.

💰 Best Ole Miss vs. Georgia player prop picks

Our college football player prop odds tool shows the best odds for every market across legal sportsbooks in your area.

⬆️ Gunner Stockton Under 215.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton has had just one monster passing game this season: He threw for 304 yards in a 44-41 overtime win at Tennessee. Otherwise, Stockton is averaging 191 passing yards per contest. That includes 196 yards against Kentucky (which ranks 113th in pass defense) and 190 versus Marshall (which ranks 112th).

Meanwhile, only two QBs have cleared 215 yards against Ole Miss this season: Arkansas’ Taylen Green (305 yards) and Washington State’s Zevi Eckhaus (218). So the number on this Ole Miss vs. Georgia player prop seems inflated — in part because I expect the Bulldogs to pound the ball on the ground against the Rebels’ 96th-ranked rush defense (157.7 yards per game allowed).

Bet Stockton to fall short of 215.5 passing yards at FanDuel, whose -114 odds equate to a 53.27% implied win probability. Risk $10 to win $8.77.

⬆️ Dae’Quan Wright Over 49.5 receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐

It’s no surprise that a Lane Kiffin-coach team likes to air out the football. In six games, two Ole Miss quarterbacks have combined for 1,866 yards, with the team’s top three receivers accounting for 1,069 of those yards (all three have racked up between 349 and 361 yards). The man with the hottest hand? Senior wideout Dae’Quan Wright.

Wright’s yardage totals in his last four games: 64, 71, 66 and 80 (last week against Washington State). He also had 78 yards in the Rebels’ opener against Georgia State. Wright’s only no-show: Week 2 against Kentucky (two targets, zero catches). It’s one of only three times in his last dozen games that Wright had fewer than 54 receiving yards.

Roll with this Ole Miss vs. Georgia player prop at Caesars. At -115 odds, the implied win probability is 53.49%. Collect $8.70 on a winning $10 bet.

🔥 Josh McCray to score a touchdown (+320) ⭐⭐

At 240 pounds, Georgia running back Josh McCray isn’t someone you would bet on to win a 40-yard dash. In fact, the transfer from Illinois is averaging just 2.7 yards per carry. Speaking of carries, he only has 27 on the season. However, three of those ended with McCray standing in the end zone — all from 1 yard out.

In other words, when the going gets tough near the goal line, McCray is often the Bulldogs’ bellcow. So this is really a bet on Georgia getting at least one snap from inside the 2-yard line and giving McCray — who had 11 total TDs at Illinois last year — a chance to punch it in against an Ole Miss defense that has surrendered eight rushing scores.

BetMGM’s juicy +320 price on this Ole Miss vs. Georgia player prop implies a 23.81% win probability. A successful $10 bet would return $32.
