Saturday night's showdown brings us one of the biggest games of the college football season so far, and we have you covered with our LSU vs. Ole Miss expert picks. The No. 7 Tigers are set to take on the No. 8 Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

LSU and Ole Miss both enter the matchup ranked inside the top 10, setting up a massive SEC showdown between two undefeated teams. It's also Lane Kiffin's first return to Oxford since leaving Ole Miss to become LSU's head coach, adding another storyline to an already highly anticipated matchup.

Expert Pick
Mike Spector Ole Miss +2.5 (-108 via DraftKings)
LJ Blut Trinidad Chambliss anytime TD  (+135 via FanDuel)
Brenden Schaeffer Over 58.5 (-110 via FanDuel)

Mike Spector's pick: Ole Miss +2.5 (-108)

The lookahead line for this game over the summer was Ole Miss -2.5, and has since jumped the fence after LSU won its first two games by an average of 36 points. But the Rebels are the team that have a win over a ranked Louisville squad so far, and it’s likely that the Tigers’ blowout win over Clemson won’t look as impressive by the end of the season.

Lane Kiffin’s teams historically have been horrible in this spot. He is 1-8 as a head coach in road games against AP top 10 teams, with the lone win coming as coach of No. 18 USC over No. 4 Oregon in 2011.

The home team has won the last six meetings in this rivalry, and I wouldn’t put anyone off backing the Ole Miss moneyline (+115 is the best price at bet365), even though I’m comfortable taking the points as my best bet.

LJ Blut's pick: Trinidad Chambliss anytime TD (+135)

Trinidad Chambliss is my favorite touchdown pick in Ole Miss’ matchup with LSU. The dynamic quarterback brings plenty of rushing ability to the Rebels’ offense, making him a dangerous option when Ole Miss gets inside the red zone. Chambliss’ mobility allows him to create yards outside the pocket and turn broken plays into significant gains.

His rushing ability also gives Ole Miss another way to attack LSU’s defense near the goal line. With Chambliss capable of keeping the ball on designed runs and scrambles, I expect him to find the end zone on the ground Saturday.

Brenden Schaeffer's pick: Over 58.5 (-110)

In a way, Lane Kiffin is the architect of both offenses in this game. Both teams are averaging preposterous scoring rates early in the season, with Ole Miss at 41.0 PPG and LSU even higher, at 48.0 PPG.

While the Tigers’ defense could mute some of the scoring potential to some extent, there are multiple Heisman candidates on the other side of a charged-up environment. Ole Miss won’t get shut down entirely.

Both teams hitting 30+ points wouldn’t surprise me, so I like the Over up to at least 60 points in this one.
