Saints vs. Ravens Prediction: Week 2 Odds, Picks & Best Bet
A week after the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens each had tremendous offensive success, my Saints vs. Ravens prediction plays off of that and makes the contrarian play on the Under on an inflated total.
Saints quarterback Tyler Shough made history in a losing effort and a comeback that fell just a two-point conversion short of a massive upset, but New Orleans should want to avoid a second straight shootout with Baltimore.
Kickoff from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore is set for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). The Ravens are 8.5-point betting favorites.

Tyler Shough made history in more than one way in a Week 1 losing effort. He became just the third Saint with 400-plus passing yards in a game, joining Drew Brees and Aaron Brooks. But he also became the first quarterback in the last 10 seasons with at least 400 passing yards and three passing touchdowns in a season-opening loss. That alone should have New Orleans cautious about getting into another shootout with Baltimore.
The Ravens are coming off their most total yards in a game (506) since 2024 Week 7, which was also the last time Lamar Jackson had the kind of passing numbers he did in Week 1. But Baltimore could be without wide receiver Zay Flowers, whose 150 receiving yards were the most by a Raven since Sept. 2015. His potential absence is already an issue for a team already thin at the position after Ja’Kobi Lane landed on IR with a wrist injury.
The injury concerns, coupled with a weather forecast where rain is likely in the early parts of the game has me leaning Under after these teams combined for 71 points in Week 1.
📡 SBR Edge: Bucking an Over trend
Baltimore has cashed the Over in seven straight games within the first three weeks of the season over the las three years. It has gone over those projected totals by an average of 12.0 points per game.
Saints to give Jackson a different look
Baltimore’s offensive explosion in Week 1 was in large part because of Indianapolis’ willingness to play man coverage at a high rate. The Colts deployed man coverage at a league-high 46.9% rate in Week 1, and Cover 1 at another league high of 39.1%. Lamar Jackson averaged 17.9 yards per attempt against Cover 1, and a lower (albeit still good) 12.8 yards per attempt against zone coverage.
New Orleans played man coverage on the second-lowest percentage of snaps in Week 1 (1.4%) and instead were content to sit back in coverage and forego pressuring the quarterback (second-lowest pressure rate). That same philosophy should muddle up running lanes and opportunities for Jackson, while forcing him to beat them with his arm and with a depleted wide receiver group.
