My Eagles vs. Titans prediction highlights the Titans' path to keeping this game tight at home during Sunday's Week 2 matchup. After a flat performance against the Jets in Week 1, expectations are low on Cam Ward and the Titans' offense.

Opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. (CBS). The Eagles are -7.5 point betting favorites on the road against the Titans.

Titans +7.5 (-125 via BetMGM)

Going back to the Titans for a second straight week after a lopsided Week 1 loss to the Jets may feel a bit suspect. Ward's play needs to improve quickly if he wants to keep QB1 duties, however, he's still adapting to OC Brian Daboll's scheme and the overhaul in personnel from the offseason.

The Titans' offensive line gave up 3 sacks and lost a fumble to the Jets. It created a quick deficit, forcing Tennessee's offense into chase mode, making them one-dimensional for most of the game.

The rushing attack fared well, despite being limited. Titans RB Tony Pollard and Ward combined for 56 rushing yards on 11 carries. Daboll should stick to a more run-centric game plan early to aid his young offense.

The Eagles are playing without LB Jonathan Greenard in this game. This opens up production opportunities on the ground, as Philadelphia allowed 4.1 YPC to the Commanders last week.

It's time to plug our noses and re-invest in the Titans. Tennessee can keep this game within one touchdown by sticking to their run game.

At BetMGM, we're getting a full touchdown on the Titans as home underdogs at +7.5, so let's bet on Tennessee +7.5.

📡 SBR Edge: Fading Philly

91 percent of point spread bets placed by the public are on the Eagles. Last week, Philadelphia gave up 13 points in the 4th quarter, failing to cover -5.5.

Daboll unlocks Titans' offense in Week 2

Ward didn't throw an interception in Week 1, but was forced into a one-dimensional offense by the midpoint of the 3rd quarter. To settle him down and stay ahead of schedule, Daboll can scheme quick, short passes to extend the run game, while feeding Pollard and Tyjae Spears more carries against an Eagles run defense that gave up over 100 rushing yards in 12 games last season.

We already saw the Eagles struggle to contain Washington's run-centric offense, giving up 4.1 YPC. The Titans' offensive line will benefit from more aggressive play calling along the line of scrimmage, keeping Ward ahead of schedule. Daboll unlocks this young offense in Week 2 that challenges the Eagles in the final minutes of this game.

Score prediction: Eagles 23, Titans 17
