A pair of winless teams will take the field, although one offense holds a massive edge in my Browns vs. Buccaneers prediction. Baker Mayfield makes his home debut this week, while Deshaun Watson and the Browns' offense will search for any meaningful production after an abysmal Week 1 performance.

Catch this game's opening kickoff at 1 p.m. ET from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. (CBS). The Buccaneers enter this game as 7.5-point betting favorites against the Browns.

Buccaneers -7.5 (-115 via FanDuel)

Mayfield and the Buccaneers tried to rally against the Bengals last week, but falling into a 21-3 deficit and allowing 21 unanswered points proved to be too much. That won't be the case in Week 2, as the Browns only mustered 185 net passing yards from Watson against the Jaguars in Week 1.

Cleveland committed 11 penalties, 2 turnovers, and gave up 5 sacks. Watson's wide receiving corps outside of Jerry Jeudy is extremely raw and young. The entire offense will have growing pains, especially under a new coaching regime led by a defensive-minded head coach in Todd Monken.

The Buccaneers' skilled players are leagues better under a proven OC like Zac Robinson. RB Bucky Irving, veteran wideout Chris Godwin, and talented second and third-year wideouts Emeka Egbuka and Jalen McMillan offer enough talent for Mayfield to stay hyper-productive.

The Browns gave up 245 passing yards and 4 touchdowns to Trevor Lawrence last week. He only threw 5 incompletions and had no turnovers. Mayfield should have a nuclear outing in a Week 2 bounce-back spot.

📡 SBR Edge: Browns Can't Cover

The Browns have failed to cover the point spread in 10 consecutive games.

Sunshine State woes continue for the Browns

This Florida trip will be one to forget for the Cleveland Browns. Mayfield's a highly productive passer and playmaker, and now he faces a defense that no longer has Myles Garrett coming off the edge.

Despite a Week 1 loss, Mayfield finished 23-of-28 for 216 yards and zero interceptions against Cincinnati. The Buccaneers lost 4 fumbles, which is an outlier that won't happen against the Browns. Mayfield's scrambling ability makes him tough to cover, using his legs to find the end zone or extend plays to force broken coverage downfield.

Score prediction:  Buccaneers 44, Browns 17
