My Vikings vs. Bears prediction breaks down the matchup between a Carson Wentz-led Vikings squad and a Bears team coming off the highest-scoring game in franchise history.

Sunday's matchup from Soldier Field in Chicago kicks off at 1 p.m. ET (FOX), with the Bears priced as a 5.5-point home betting favorite.

💰 Vikings vs. Bears prediction & best bet

Vikings +5.5 (-108 via DraftKings)

This will be a tight NFC North showdown, even with Carson Wentz starting at quarterback for the Vikings.

The Vikings' defense remains the team's biggest strength, unaffected by whatever's happening on the other side of the ball. Despite an abysmal J.J. McCarthy starting both contests against the Bears in 2025, the Vikings won the first matchup and lost the second by just two points to Chicago.

The spread ballooned to 5.5 at the best sports betting sites from its opening position of 2.5 following the injury to Kyler Murray in Week 1. I don't see Minnesota's ceiling dropping that much with the change to Wentz.

📡 SBR Edge

With Caleb Williams at QB, the Bears are only averaging 20.5 points per game across four matchups against the Vikings.

Caleb Williams has yet to solve Brian Flores

The Vikings' esteemed defensive coordinator rained fire on Jordan Love in the second half last week, leading to the Packers' collapse to give Minnesota the victory.

Williams has had his own struggles diagnosing what Flores is throwing at him, highlighted by complicated and unexpected blitzes. That won't be enough for the Vikings to win on the road at Soldier Field, but it will keep the contest close enough for Minnesota to cover the spread.

Score prediction: Bears 23, Vikings 20
