⬇️ Antwan Raymond Under 73.5 rushing yards (-120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not only has Rutgers running back Antwan Raymond already racked up 248 rushing yards - more than double any of his teammates - but he’s been extremely consistent. His per-game outputs are 87, 82, and 79 yards. Yep, Raymond has beaten his projection for Friday’s clash against Iowa in all three games. But now let’s check the opponents: Ohio, Miami-Ohio, and Norfolk State. Not exactly high-level competition.

Now Raymond faces an Iowa defense that ranks sixth in the nation against the run; the Hawkeyes yield just 57.7 rush yards per game. This isn’t anything new, either. Iowa ranked in the top 25 in rushing defense each of the last seven seasons. Also noteworthy: Raymond has topped 73 rushing yards against a power-conference opponent just once in 13 career games.

Play this Under at Caesars. The -120 odds there have an implied win probability of 54.55%. A $10 bet would pay $8.33.

⬆️ Athan Kaliakmanis Over 214.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis has been sensational this season, completing nearly 73% of his passes for 820 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. He’s also eclipsed 250 passing yards in every game. Yes, as previously noted, the Scarlet Knights haven’t faced a daunting schedule. And yes, Iowa’s defense has been nearly as stingy against the pass (10th in the nation) as the run.

However, Kaliakmanis also topped 235 passing yards in last year’s bowl game against Kansas State. He also did so in four straight games versus UCLA, USC, Minnesota, and Maryland last season. In fact, Kaliakmanis has amassed more than 235 air yards eight times in his last 10 contests.

Let’s bet on the senior to push that to nine of 11 on Friday night, and let’s do it at FanDuel. The -114 price there carries a 53.27% win probability. Profit on a $10 wager: $8.77.

⬆️ Jaziun Patterson Over 44.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐

Iowa has two primary tailbacks in Jaziun Patterson (28 carries, 161 yards) and Xavier Williams (26 carries, 186 yards). So ordinarily, rolling the dice on one guy’s rushing prop would be risky, except that Williams (arm injury) is out. That makes this play enticing, as Patterson has received double-digit carries in each of the Hawkeyes’ last two games and gained 60 and 54 yards.

Rutgers’ defense has struggled against the run, allowing an average of 148.7 yards per game. Four opposing tailbacks have already compiled at least 56 rushing yards against the Scarlet Knights.

FanDuel has the best price on this prop at -114. That’s an implied win probability of 53.27%, with a winning $10 bet returning $8.77.

How do college football player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more college football odds markets.
