Colorado didn’t get off to a great start post-Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, as Coach Prime’s team lost a nail-biter to Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets may be a contender in the ACC, though, so a one-score loss doesn't reflect poorly on the Buffaloes. New Colorado signal-caller Kaidon Salter did manage to complete 60% of his passes and account for almost 200 yards, so there is hope yet.

The Buffs now welcome a newly minted FBS program in Delaware to Folsom Field.

The Blue Hens are coming off an impressive offensive showing against Delaware State, where quarterback Nick Minicucci went for 295 all-purpose yards and posted a near-80% completion rate. Take those stats with a grain of salt, as the Hornets are an FCS opponent at the end of the day. The last time Delaware met an FBS foe, it suffered a 56-point defeat at the hands of Penn State.

While Colorado didn't exactly turn heads in Week 1, the Buffaloes are a much more established team than the Blue Hens. This is the first road test for Ryan Carty's men at the FBS level, after all. Coach Prime and Co. have flexed their muscles against plenty of inferior opponents over the years, so we can expect something similar today, with solid production from the offense.

You can get Colorado to cover the 23.5-point spread at standard juice with BetMGM, meaning a $10 wager profits $9.09 if the hosts demolish Delaware.

I’m hedging substantially with this game since we don’t know much about how Delaware will look against an FBS opponent. The Over for Kaidon Salter’s passing yard prop screams value for me at such a low total. Salter may have averaged only 171.5 passing yards per game with Liberty last year, but he averaged 205.4 in 2023, and this game has explosive potential.

A look at Salter’s performances versus low-quality opponents makes this prop’s value pop. He threw for 242 yards against Campbell and 256 yards against New Mexico State last season. The year before, he threw for 257 yards against Sam Houston State and 177 yards against Jacksonville State, both of which were in their first seasons at the FBS level.

Salter’s passing yardage prop is at rock bottom following an unimpressive game versus Georgia Tech. Back him for the Over against a far worse opponent at the -114 odds offered by FanDuel.

📊 Delaware vs. Colorado odds: Week 2

College football odds update live in real time.

📈 Delaware vs. Colorado opening odds

  • Moneyline: Delaware +780 | Colorado -2500
  • Spread: Delaware +24.5 (-110) | Colorado -24.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: Over 49.5 (-110) | Under 49.5 (-110)

🔍 Delaware vs. Colorado odds analysis

The spread opened at Colorado -24.5, but it has since dropped slightly to 23.5. Asking Colorado to cover a spread of more than three touchdowns and a field goal was a big ask, so getting Under 24 is key for bettors. I doubt this number ticks down much further either.

The total has moved in the opposite direction, up to O/U 50.5 after opening at 49.5. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it increase by another point or two if the public trusts Coach Prime’s offense to bring this one Over, but I’m generally not interested in playing the total.

How do college football odds work?

When betting on college football, the point spread shows how many points the favorite needs to win by in order to cash the bet. For example, a favorite of -3 must win by more than 3 points to cover the spread, while an underdog at +3 must win outright or lose by fewer than 3 points to cover the spread.

Moneyline odds represent the payout for picking the outright winner (+200 means a $100 bet wins $200, while -200 means a $200 bet wins $100). Over/Unders let you wager on whether the combined total will be higher or lower than the set number.
