Colorado vs. UCLA College Football Player Props, Odds: Picks & Predictions

The UCLA Bruins are striving to advance one step closer to securing a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game with a win over the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday, and we're here to share our top player props for the Week 9 college football matchup between Colorado and UCLA. All our college football picks are based on the NCAAF odds from our best sports betting apps.

Thanks to Coach Prime, Colorado (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) remains a focal point of college football despite losing three of its past four games. There is also added motivation Saturday, as the Buffaloes can snap an active 0-6 ATS run in road games against Pac-12 opponents with a win.

UCLA (5-2, 2-2 Pac-12) boasts a 3-0 record at home; however, they have been alternating between wins and losses in the past four weeks. During this period, the Bruins encountered three ranked teams consecutively but won't encounter another current AP top-25 team until their Week 12 matchup against USC.

Colorado vs. UCLA college football player props: Week 9

Shedeur Sanders Over 312.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

With as much early season hype as Colorado got, quarterback Shedeur Sanders' incredible season - despite shoddy offensive line play - is still going under the radar.

Sanders has thrown for 2,420 yards (fourth-highest in FBS), with a 21:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a 72.3% completion rate. Despite being sacked 34 times, the Buffaloes still throw the ball on 58% of their snaps, as their running game ranks outside the top 70 in success rate.

The Buffaloes' long 15-day layoff is the only thing keeping this from being a more confident four-star play, as Sanders has exceeded this total in five of seven starts and has averaged 310 passing yards with 10 touchdowns to two interceptions in the team's three losses.

Travis Hunter anytime touchdown (+140 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Two-way star Travis Hunter missed three games with a lacerated liver, but his impact was felt immediately in Colorado's latest loss to Stanford when he caught 13 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter logged a season-high 167 snaps against the Cardinal, but we would be much more worried about fatigue if he did not have more than a two-week layoff.

UCLA may have the conference's best scoring defense (14.9 points per game allowed) and total defense (282.6 yards per game allowed), but it is most vulnerable in passing downs success rate, ranking outside the top 60.

The Bruins figure to get plenty of pressure (their 24 sacks are one off the conference lead) against Sanders, so look for Coach Prime to devise ways to get the ball out of his son's hands quickly and to give his best playmaker plenty of opportunities in space.

FanDuel (+115) and Caesars (+126) have much shorter odds for Hunter to find the endzone, and we are eschewing DraftKings' +140 odds since that is only limited to receiving touchdowns. Ethan Garbers Under 0.5 interceptions (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bruins head coach Chip Kelly has not revealed his starting quarterback plans, but all signs point to him naming Ethan Garbers the starter after he totaled 291 yards and threw for two touchdowns in their last game against Stanford.

Garbers gave way to Dante Moore after throwing two interceptions in the season opener against Coastal Carolina but took better care of the football en route to a 90.8 QBR against the Cardinal.

Colorado's defense ranks only 129th in generating pressure and is outside the top 110 in third-down stop rate, so Garbers should settle into a nice rhythm in the pocket and play clean football.

This is a four-star play, as Colorado is tied for 21st with eight interceptions, but only two of those picks have come against ranked competition.

Caesars and DraftKings have steeper -119 and -120 odds, respectively.
