The Texas Tech Red Raiders are home underdogs against the 20th-ranked Colorado Buffaloes for Saturday's Week 11 tilt. The Buffaloes have won five of their last six games as we make the best Colorado vs. Texas Tech prediction.

The Red Raiders ended a two-game losing streak with a 23-22 win over the Iowa State Cyclones last week. They’re 4.5-point home underdogs for the 4 p.m. (FOX) matchup at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Will Shedeur Sanders have another massive game against the Red Raiders' 125th-ranked pass defense? And if he does, will it be enough for the Buffaloes to leave Saturday’s game with a victory?

The below picks are part of our college football Week 11 predictions

Colorado vs. Texas Tech against the spread prediction: Week 11

Texas Tech to cover the spread: +4.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

Colorado vs. Texas Tech opening odds:

  • Colorado: -2.5 (-110 via BetMGM)
  • Texas Tech: +2.5 (-110 via BetMGM)

Sanders is about to have another massive game for the Buffaloes, but I’ll talk more about him in a second. Whether the Red Raiders can cover the spread will depend on whether their offense can go toe-to-toe with Colorado's.

Unlike many teams the Buffaloes have faced this season, the Red Raiders have more than enough offensive talent to keep pace.

They are averaging more points per game than the Buffaloes (34.5 to 31.4), and their passing attack is ranked 28th in the nation, just 26.1 yards behind Colorado.

However, the major difference in this game will be the Red Raiders’ rushing attack. They’re averaging 164.9 yards per game, which ranks 58th in the nation.

The Buffaloes are allowing 155.1 rushing yards per game, so Tahj Brooks, who has run for at least 109 yards in every game this season, should be in for another massive game.

The Red Raiders rushing attack will limit the Buffaloes’ possessions, which should keep this game within one score from start to finish. Since the Red Raiders have home-field advantage, I expect them to keep this within three points and potentially even win.

Shedeur Sanders Over 324.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Even if the Buffaloes’ run defense struggles and Sanders gets fewer possessions than usual, this is a phenomenal matchup.

Sanders has thrown for at least 244 yards in every game this season, and he’s topped 324.5 passing yards in three games. He was 1.5 yards away from going Over this total last week.

The Red Raiders have the 10th-worst pass defense in the country, allowing 282.4 passing yards per game. Over the last three weeks, they’re allowing an average of 305.7 yards per game. Considering the Buffaloes have no rushing attack, almost all of their yards will come through the air.

He may crush this total in a high-scoring, favorable matchup.

Sanders’ total is set at 329.5 at two of our best college football betting sites offering this prop. While he could beat that number, neither provides a better price than FanDuel's Over 324.5.
