The offseason preceding Deion Sanders’ first year in Boulder was tumultuous, but our Colorado-TCU prediction from the best college football odds assesses whether the turnover on TCU’s roster is being overlooked in this Week 1 point spread as we make our best college football picks.

TCU took command of last season's game against Colorado in Boulder, winning 38-13, although major changes on both sides make it difficult to compare last year's results to what could happen Saturday.

Can head coach Deion Sanders’ group make it a fight in his Colorado debut facing an entirely new offense for the Frogs in Forth Worth as we make our college football best bets for Saturday

Here is our best Colorado vs. TCU prediction (odds via our best college football betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

After a knee injury sidelined him and led to Max Duggan's remarkable season and the Horned Frogs' trip to the national championship, TCU QB Chandler Morris reclaims the starting role. Morris actually sustained his injury during last year's Colorado game, where he threw for 111 yards on 13-for-20 passing before exiting the contest.

Though Morris could conceivably keep TCU’s offense from falling off too far, the No. 17 Horned Frogs have a lot to prove at the skill positions after lead running back Kendre Miller and leading receiver Quentin Johnston moved on to the NFL.

Though Colorado’s defense may struggle to hold up in the Fort Worth heat, Colorado’s offense should have the pieces to attain a fast start behind marquee Jackson State transfers Shedeur Sanders (QB) and Travis Hunter (WR/CB).

I’m not entirely sold on Coach Prime's overnight rebuild of a Colorado roster that was pretty woeful a year ago. But with eight key players drafted from TCU’s roster, assuming the sale on the Frogs picking up right where they left off feels unwise. This number is simply too hefty to ignore the value on Colorado for our college football Week 1 predictions.

Across the board, Colorado is catching 20.5 points in this road game. FanDuel offers the best odds if you want to bet the Buffaloes at -105. For those looking to fade our Colorado pick, FanDuel would be a spot to avoid as TCU is listed with lesser -115 odds.

If we see much line movement toward Colorado leading up to kickoff on Saturday, the value dissipates from this selection, as we do believe the Buffs are an inferior team. We would play Colorado down to +18.5 as a three-star selection.
