Utah vs. Colorado Prediction: Week 7 Odds, Picks & Best Bet
Last Updated: October 17, 2026 3:33 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
My best Utah vs. Colorado prediction highlights how No. 11 Utah's high-powered offense and Colorado's struggling quarterback play combine for a lopsided result. Colorado coach Deion Sanders announced that Isaac Wilson, who struggled with turnovers against Texas Tech, will start at quarterback again.
Utah is favored by 14.5 ahead of tonight's 10:15 p.m. ET game at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo. The game will air on ESPN and stream on ESPN Unlimited.

Utah -14.5 (-108 via BetMGM)
Utah's sixth-ranked scoring offense carried the team to victory last week, putting up 41 points, while the defense allowed a season-high 24. Utah has now scored at least 31 points in every game, topping 40 three times.
Colorado ranks 86th in scoring defense, allowing 25.4 points per game. The unit has allowed at least 23 points in three consecutive games, with Northwestern scoring 41 during that span.
While Colorado managed just seven points in Wilson's first start, the passing attack moved the ball well, totaling 297 yards. However, I don't expect as much success this week. First, Texas Tech, Wilson's last opponent, ranks 128th in passing yards allowed per game, while Utah ranks 67th. Second, Utah allows just 5.6 yards per attempt, tied for the sixth-best mark in the country.
📡 SBR Edge: Turnover problems for Wilson
Wilson threw three interceptions against Texas Tech, and I expect turnovers to be a problem in this game as well. Utah has intercepted six passes, which is tied for the 20th-most in the nation.
Colorado's rush defense isn't ready for Utah's rushing attack
Utah is averaging the eighth-most rushing yards per game and the 12th-most yards per carry. Leading rusher Wayshawn Parker is averaging 7.6 yards per carry and has seven rushing touchdowns this season. Quarterback Devon Dampier has rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns this season, and last week, he ran for a season-high 71.
While Colorado ranks 52nd in rushing yards allowed per game, two of the Buffaloes' first five opponents rank 89th or worse in yards per carry, and a third opponent was FCS Weber State. The run defense has allowed at least 180 yards against the two best rushing attacks it has faced thus far, with the opponents averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Colorado lost both of those games by 22 or more.
Score prediction: Utah 38, Colorado 17
