💰 Best Colorado vs. Houston touchdown scorer bets
Here are my favorite Colorado vs. Houston touchdown scorer picks based on the best college football odds for Week 3.
🔥 Dean Connors to score anytime TD (-140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I don’t usually recommend laying a line as steep as -140 (58.3%) for an anytime touchdown scorer bet, but with the same wager costing you a whopping -235 (70.2%) at DraftKings, there is a serious market-based edge here, especially with no books close to FanDuel’s price.
Dean Connors, the starting running back for Houston, just ran for 132 yards and two scores against Rice on just 13 carries. Before that, he ran for 50 yards on 15 carries without a score against Stephen F. Austin as quarterback Conner Weigman accounted for all the scoring through the air.
With Houston trading as the betting favorite and Colorado ranked a dreadful 110th in yards allowed per rush attempt (5.2), I trust Connors to find pay dirt. Look for this wager to wind up closer to the number hanging at DraftKings. A $10 bet will score you a $7.14 profit at the current price.
🔥 DeKalon Taylor to score anytime TD (+195) ⭐⭐⭐

After a shaky start from transfer quarterback Kaidon Salter, Coach Prime has opted to go with backup Ryan Staub this weekend. When Staub entered the game last week, he quickly drove the Buffs downfield and completed a 21-yard touchdown pass to running back DeKalon Taylor.
Taylor has looked solid this season. He also caught an eight-yard touchdown pass from Salter in Colorado’s home-opening loss to Georgia Tech. He has yet to find pay dirt on the ground, but his excellent performances to date will likely help him secure the touches necessary to do so.
Most importantly, Taylor’s volume is trending up. After just four touches against Georgia Tech in Week 1, he got the ball 11 times in Week 2, turning those opportunities into the aforementioned score and 97 receiving yards. A simple $10 bet on him will earn you a nice $19.5 profit at DraftKings, so make sure to have Taylor on your Friday betting card.
🔥 Conner Weigman to score anytime TD (+170) ⭐⭐

Things didn’t work out for Conner Weigman at Texas A&M, but his career at Houston is off to a solid start. After throwing three touchdowns versus Stephen F. Austin - and adding 39 yards on the ground - he threw for one score and ran for another versus Rice.
While Weigman’s mobility isn’t as significant a part of his game as it is for other quarterbacks, it’s worth noting Colorado’s inability to stop dual-threat Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King in Week 1. King ran for an absurd 156 yards, including three touchdowns.
The issues with broken plays that allowed King to score three times could help Weigman find pay dirt on an improvised scramble. The odds aren’t so great, though, as the best price is sitting at +170 (37%) on FanDuel. That would earn you a $17 profit on a $10 bet. Still, it’s a worthy addition to your card – just not as worthy as the first two picks.
