Clemson vs. North Carolina Prediction: College Football Week 6 Odds & Expert Picks

My best Clemson vs. North Carolina prediction anticipates a huge Tigers performance ahead of Saturday’s noon ET (ESPN) game at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Though the Tigers are just 1-3, one of my best college football picks of the week is them covering the 14-point spread. Their losses are to teams with a combined record of 12-3, while the Tar Heels have been blown out by two of the three FBS opponents they’ve faced.

🐅 Clemson -14 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Tar Heels have yet to score more than 20 points against an FBS team. Their most recent game was a 34-9 loss to UCF, where they were outgained 366-217. In the first game of the year, they lost to TCU 48-14 and were outgained 542-222.
Meanwhile, the 1-3 Tigers have been competitive. The defense has held three of their four opponents in check, and they only lost by seven to No. 13 LSU and three to No. 17 Georgia Tech.
Cade Klubnik threw for 363 yards against Syracuse and is in line for another big game against a defense that allowed 284 air yards to TCU. And while the Tigers are allowing 240.3 passing yards per game, the Tar Heels are averaging just 150.
The price of -110 at BetMGM implies a 52.38% chance the Tigers cover. A $10 bet would pay $9.09.

🔥 Bryant Wesco Jr. to score anytime TD (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wesco has scored five of the Tigers’ 10 touchdowns this season. He leads the team with 24 receptions and 389 yards, and he’s the only wide receiver with a receiving touchdown this year.
Wesco didn’t score in the season opener, but he’s scored in every game since, including twice against both Troy and Syracuse. While the Tar Heels are only allowing 0.8 passing touchdowns per game, that’s mostly because Richmond and Charlotte didn’t score touchdowns against them. In their other two games, they allowed eight offensive touchdowns, three of which were through the air.
Caesars currently has this price set at +100, while the other best sports betting sites have it at -115 or worse. In a game where his team is favored by two scores, this price provides great value. Caesars’ price suggests that Wesco has a 50% chance of scoring. A $10 bet would profit $10.
