Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has been on a tear the last two weeks, following up a career-high in rushing yards (157) against Purdue with a career-best 70 receiving yards against Arkansas.
Though Fighting Irish quarterback C.J. Carr has a high O/U of 263.5 passing yards, I expect Notre Dame to attack Boise State more often on the ground. The Broncos just held an Appalachian State passing attack that ranked third nationally entering last week to 65 yards passing, and just two yards in the second half.
The Fighting Irish could also be more conservative in their offensive approach, considering Boise State recorded two pick-sixes last week. In the process, the Broncos became the first team to record three interceptions, five sacks, and hold an opponent to under 100 yards passing (they are also just the seventh team to do so in the last four seasons).
Love’s O/U of 30.5 receiving yards is juiced as high as -115 at 53.49% implied odds. Therefore, I am squeezing slightly extra value out of this wager at FanDuel, where a $10 winning wager at -114 odds would net $8.77 in profits.

⬆️ Maddux Madsen Over 215.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐
Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen is riding high after throwing for a career-high 321 yards last week while matching a career-best with four passing touchdowns. The Broncos got great production from up and down their receiving corps, as Madsen completed passes to at least 10 different receivers for just the second time in his career.
Madsen’s arm is a big reason Boise State ranks ninth in total offense, while accumulating over 1,700 yards over the last three games, and passing for at least 300 yards in each.
With Notre Dame being a near three-touchdown favorite, the game script suggests Madsen should again be throwing early and often in this contest. This becomes a more confident four-star play if Fighting Irish star cornerback Leonard Moore misses his third straight game with an injury.
This line is up from an O/U of 210.5 earlier in the week. But I still find value in the Over at the new total through FanDuel’s -114 price at a 53.27% implied probability.
If Madsen finishes with at least 216 passing yards, my $10 wager would return $8.77 in profits.

If we are high on Maddux Madsen’s passing total, then taking a flier on his leading receiver to score a touchdown is a wise bet, especially at these odds. The first four players on the anytime touchdown odds leaderboard are Notre Dame players, but most are too steep to back, like Jeremiyah Love’s implied odds at a ridiculous 85.71% based on the -600 price at FanDuel.
Boise State has scored 47 or more points in three straight games for the first time since 1996, which is a streak that ties the longest in Mountain West history. The Broncos’ 47 points scored last week are also their highest point total in the FBS era without scoring a rushing touchdown.
Boise State’s 147 points over the last three games are the second-highest total over a three-game stretch in the previous 10 seasons. And the Fighting Irish have allowed seven passing touchdowns to five rushing touchdowns this season, making the 30.30% implied probability for Latrell Caples to score his third touchdown of the season a great value bet.
If Caples scores a touchdown, my $10 wager would return $23 in profits.
