It seems that Vegas is expecting a lower-scoring game than in years past. However, even though the Broncos haven’t looked like their usual selves this season, quarterback Hank Bachmeier has started to find a rhythm since his dreadful Week 1 performance. The competition hasn’t been great in either of his last two games, but the Miners aren’t going to change that trend.

Both of these teams played in New Mexico already this season. Boise State won 31-14, while the Miners lost 27-10. Don’t overthink this one. Just take Boise State and move on.

Neither offense has been particularly good this season, with the Miners cracking 20 just once all year and the Broncos scoring 17 against their only formidable opponent so far. Yet, the Miners give up 29.0 points per game, and they haven’t played that difficult of competition. The Broncos should get into the 30s without any trouble this week, which is enough to push this Over.

The Miners committed seven turnovers in the loss to New Mexico. That was the only game this season that the Miners have not scored between 11 and 20 points, and they missed that mark by one.

Since the Broncos’ opening Week loss to Oregon State, they have allowed just 285 yards in two games. The Miners should be able to move the ball better than that. After all, their issue isn’t with yardage, it’s with taking care of the ball.

If the Broncos were as good as they have been in years past, then UTEP 0-10 may have been the correct play, but there is no reason to think the Miners can’t get into double-digits against this team.
