When shopping for anything, it's great to have options – but far too many sports bettors still settle for signing up for and using only one of our best sports betting apps. With the best sportsbooks adding more markets than ever this NFL season, there has never been a better time for players to have multiple apps. James Bisson shares four reasons to add to your sportsbook cache.
At Sportsbook Review, we hunt for the best NFL odds values so you don't have to – but you can only take advantage of that advice if you have the best sports betting sites we recommend.
The benefits of downloading and using multiple sportsbooks are numerous – so let's get right into why having many NFL betting sites is the greatest betting strategy you'll employ in 2023.
Why NFL bettors need multiple sportsbooks
Optimal line shopping
The simplest reason for having multiple sportsbooks is that it improves your chances of finding the best odds wherever they might be.
Similar to how access to multiple supermarkets makes it easier to keep food costs down, having several sports betting sites ensures that you'll have options when it comes to finding and betting on the best-priced lines. Take our NFL MVP odds, for example; three different sportsbooks have the best price on specific players, while three books have the worst value.
If you had access to all five sportsbooks we list, you would not only be able to find standalone top prices on six different players on the list, you would also be able to avoid getting the worst odds on eight other potential wagers.
A 30-cent edge might not seem like much, but those superior odds plays add up – and wouldn't you want to be sure you're getting the best possible payoff on every wager you make?

Sign-up bonuses are always a big draw for prospective new customers – and every major sportsbook is looking to add to its client base through a variety of intriguing new offers.
Here's a look at the current sign-up offers for six of the best sports betting apps:
| Sportsbook | Offer | Promo Code |

| bet365 | Bet $1, Get $200 | SBRBONUS |
| BetMGM | Up to $1,500 in Bonus Bets | SBRBONUS |

That's a lot of extra betting action for even the most casual NFL customer. And the benefits don't stop when you make your initial deposit and wager: these sportsbooks also provide other player promos during the season like boosted odds and bonus bets.
If you're planning to make regular wagers during the NFL season, you owe it to yourself to collect as many bonuses and promos as you can. It's a great way to build your bankroll while mitigating how much you choose to invest.

Arbitrage opportunities
Betting arbitrage is a controversial practice in which NFL bettors make multiple wagers on the same market at different sportsbooks, in a way that assures a profit.
Let's say that FanDuel has a Buffalo Bills Over 23.5 points prop set at +110, while BetMGM has the U23.5 priced at +115. A player could then wager on the O23.5 at FanDuel and the U23.5 at BetMGM; one of those bets is guaranteed to cash, ensuring the player will come out ahead.
Be warned, however, that sportsbooks pay particular attention to arbitrage bets, and can (and will) restrict or limit players they believe are participating in arbitrage betting. If you choose to go down this path, the more sportsbooks you have, the better able you'll be to find edges.

Exposure to every market
Sportsbooks are doing really creative things these days – and if you don't have access to them, you'll be missing out on some truly innovative betting opportunities. They include:
- Microbetting, which allows players to wager on immediate events like whether the next drive will result in a touchdown, or whether a team will run or pass the ball on its next play. Caesars and DraftKings are the only top sportsbooks to offer this at the moment
- Unique markets, in which most sports betting sites partake. One might, for example, offer odds on whether a quarterback will set a new NFL record for passing touchdowns, or whether a player who did something incredible in 2022 will repeat the feat in 2023
- Unique parlay opportunities aside from the traditional multi-pick combos found everywhere. For example, FanDuel allows players to make 3-5 selections in the same stat milestone market (say, players to record 1,000+ rushing yards) as a unique "same-category parlay"
- Region-specific offerings that have particular appeal to sports bettors who root for local teams. These include odds boosts specific to teams within a state, or proprietary markets or parlays built around those teams.
The only way to ensure that you're on top of every new or creative endeavor the major sports betting sites are leaning on is to have access to all of them.
