3 Aaron Judge Betting Markets

MLB Home Run Leader

Judge paces the majors in round-trippers this season with 27, and he’s currently listed at +100 to finish with the most home runs in the league during the regular season at Caesars Sportsbook.

Those are low odds because it’s a two-way market and the entire field is the other betting option.

Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez’s 22 homers rank second, so Judge has a respectable lead at this point of the season, which is clearly reflected in the betting market offered by Caesars.

American League MVP Award

Currently the betting favorite to win the American League MVP Award at DraftKings Sportsbook, Judge is listed with -120 odds.

In addition to leading the majors in home runs, Judge is also pacing baseball in runs and total bases while also sporting an elite 1.037 OPS and 3.8 WAR.

Immediately behind Judge on the odds list is 2021 AL MVP Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels. The sharp bet might actually be on Ohtani following his historic showing Tuesday and Wednesday this week. After all, he hit two homers and drove in eight runs Tuesday, and then followed it up with a 13-strikeout performance on Wednesday.

This is about Judge, though, and as it stands, the Yankees will be hard pressed to suggest he isn’t the best hitter in the American League.

World Series Champions

Judge has New York entrenched in the World Series conversation, and the Yankees are listed with the second shortest odds (+450) to win it all this year at FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Yankees’ 52-18 record is the best in the majors, and their +146 run differential also occupies the top spot. You can add their 30-7 record at Yankee Stadium to beef up their case, too.

As noted, Judge’s 58 runs pace the majors, but he’s also added 53 RBI.

The 30-year-old outfielder is obviously doing a lot of the heavy lifting for the Yankees, and he’s having his best season since bursting onto the scene and winning the American League Rookie of the Year Award and finishing second in AL MVP voting in 2017.

The Yanks brass should be aiming to appease their star Friday.
