With the Green Bay wide receiver depth chart far from etched in stone, Doubs strong start to training camp could translate to an immediate opportunity in the passing attack if he continues to progress.

As it stands, fifth-year receiver Allen Lazard projects as the No. 1 target in the offense, but the pecking order beneath him is completely up in the air.

The Packers selected wide receiver Christian Watson in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he’s currently on the active/PUP list following offseason knee surgery. Additionally, veteran journeyman Sammy Watkins has been nursing a hamstring injury and was just removed from the active/non-football injury list last week.

Finally, 31-year-old wideout Randall Cobb will likely continue to operate primarily out of the slot and is well past his prime.

It all adds up to a golden opportunity for Doubs to carve out a meaningful role in the offense with Green Bay littered with question marks at the position.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Doubs boasts the size and straight-line speed to succeed as a pro. However, the FCS Nevada product will still need to silence any concerns of whether his collegiate success against weak competition can translate to the NFL.

Landing a prominent role in an Aaron Rodgers led offense will certainly help the transition.
