It's a considerable raise for Williams, who made $15.6 million last season and will receive $28 million in year one of his new deal.
He is coming off a career year, setting personal bests with 76 receptions and 1,146 yards and nine touchdowns - one shy of his career-high.

Williams has also registered the sixth-most deep receiving yards (1,270) since entering the NFL in 2018 - just behind superstars such as Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill.
He'll look to build further chemistry with standout quarterback Justin Herbert and improve the teams' 9-8 record in the AFC West. A division that got even more competitive this afternoon - oddsmakers at PointsBet have given the Chargers +425 odds to win the division.
