Raiders vs Steelers Preview

With both teams being two game out of a playoff spot, this game is a playoff eliminator. The winner of this one will keep their slim playoff hopes alive, while the loser will be eliminated. Both teams are coming off one-possession victories in Week 15. The Steelers have opened as 3-point favorites with the total coming in at 39.5.

Las Vegas Raiders

The positive to take away from the Raiders last game is that they got the win, but the negative is that they blew yet another double-digit lead in the second half. Luckily for them, they came out on top one of the wildest endings to a game you will ever see.

The Raiders have a 54 percent chance of making the playoffs if they were to run the table. It’s been a disappointing season for Las Vegas, but a four-game winning streak to end it, would ease the pain just a little, whether they make it or not.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers didn’t come into this season with the same expectations as the Raiders, however, any Mike Tomlin led team is always expected to compete and win games. The Steelers have looked progressively better throughout the season and have now won three of their last four. The defense has really picked it up, allowing no more than 17 points in each of those four games.

The Steelers have a 4 percent chance of making the playoffs if they run the table. They would need essentially everything to go in their favor to make it. Nonetheless, a 9-8 season would extend coach Tomlin’s streak to 16 consecutive seasons with a record over .500.
