It isn’t a surprising development considering Casey also opted out of the tournament’s Pro-Am event on Wednesday.

This is now the fourth consecutive event he’s withdrawn from due to a back injury.
Casey withdrew from the Valspar Championship because of back spasms, and then he conceded consecutive matches at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play before withdrawing ahead of his third match.

Surely, the DFS community didn’t take the risk of starting Casey in their daily-fantasy lineups this week, especially following Wednesday’s withdrawal from the Pro-Am.
Casey is listed in the field for next week’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills Championship Course.
