The PGA Tour heads to TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Potomac, MD, this week for the Wells Fargo Championship, and Corey Conners has received both the most money-wagered and most betting tickets at BetMGM.

Conners has received 10.0% of betting tickets and 13.8% of the betting handle at the sportsbook, and his odds have dropped from +2200 to win the event to +2000. as a result.

He is also the largest liability for BetMGM.

While the Canadian hasn’t won on the PGA Tour since winning Valero Texas Open in 2019, Conners finished tied for sixth at this year’s Masters Tournament and third at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

For what it’s worth, Conners played in the 2018 Quicken Loans National that was held at TPC Potomac. He finished 41st.

It’s particularly interesting to see Patrick Reed’s odds climb despite him receiving the 15th most betting tickets. The book is clearly willing to take on the liability, and considering Reed doesn’t have a top-10 showing since finishing tied for third at the Hero World Challenge in December, it’s probably not a bad risk to take money on the nine-time PGA Tour winner.

Longshot Fliers Based on Handle Percentage

Denny McCarthy (+10000)Rickie Fowler (+12500)Francesco Molinari (+12500)Lucas Glover (+12500)

It’s nice to see Rickie Fowler still has a place in a few select bettors’ hearts. But similar to Patrick Reed, Fowler has struggled to the tune of missing the cut in five of his past eight events.
