The Bills had the highest ticket and handle percentages at BetMGM when the sportsbook released it’s Super Bowl LVII betting trends Tuesday, so it’s not surprising to see futures bettors looking to plant a flag early.
Furthermore, Buffalo is widely positioned as favorites, or co-favorites with the Kansas City Chiefs, to win the Super Bowl next year.

Buffalo does have some offseason narratives to keep tabs on leading into the 2022 campaign, though.
Most notably, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is now the head coach of the New York Giants. Ken Dorsey will take over for Daboll, and Joe Brady will step in as quarterbacks coach, so the offense could have some new looks.
Additionally, after allowing the fewest yards and points against per game in the league last year, at least some of the success has been attributed to the underwhelming offenses Buffalo faced. In particular, the Bills played against the worst opposing quarterbacks by Total QBR of any team dating back to 2006 – the first year with the QBR data.
It’s unlikely Buffalo has 19 interceptions – tied for third-most in the league – again in 2022, for example.

Still, if the Bills are for real heading into the playoffs, they’ll likely be favorites for most of their postseason matchups. And, it can be a lot easier to hedge a profit by backing underdog moneylines than betting the chalk.
