Petzschner gave Tipsarevic a good go, just did not have enough to get him in 3. Chalk mostly winning today, so as usual in big events - dogs win some, dogs lose plenty still. Can't say upsets are going to be the norm just because of one day. Most of the favorites weren't even challenged that heavily.

My pre-tourney read was that Tsonga was going to get bit somewhere in the next two rounds. It's either Raonic this round or Lopez next round IMO if it's going to happen. 0.5 unit on Raonic for this try.

Best of 3 ... quite possible. That match could come down to a tie break or two. Considering Bellucci pushed him, I expect Raonic to do the same.

EP, you like Lopez despite his struggles this season? I know Monaco isn't a grass court guy, but he's a grinder and will make Lopez earn it ... I'm not sure if Lopez is capable of pulling it together long enough to win this match.

Surface edge is to Lopez if he is mentally in it. Interview with Djokovic says the courts are playing fast, also an edge for the Flodonis.

Couldn't have asked much more of a +240 dog in Raonic. Taking Tsonga to the edge in the 3rd. Probably lose in the end, but worth the squeeze.

Dolgopolov is a flake #1. You never know what you're going to get with him. In this spot where he hasn't played on a hard court in months, you could do worse than trying this. The only question is the legitimacy of last week's retirement for Cipolla in his match with his doubles partner, Mayer. I'm playing it at a two set book, so if Cipolla is hurt and retires - nothing lost. If he's healthy enough to compete, his game obviously gives Dolgpolov some troubles.

Yeah, I took that one partly because of Malisse's knee issue from the last tournament and I thought he had a legit shot overall. His serve disappeared after the 1st set completely. Matosevic did very well to rebound from early trouble against Levine. I still think he could be poised for another run this week.
