Very good point about the roof, as evidenced in the Wimbledon finals. It was two completely different matches in one, before the roof closing Murray was much more effective winning a set and playing very competitve points and tight game scores. After the closure, Federer tore him in two, winning much easier points and less tightly contested games.

federer isnt going to slip up here so close before the final against an opponent he has the clear edge on, mentally and matchup wise. imagine if nadal was here, and he wouldve reached the semifinal as well, since delpotro hasnt really beaten stiff competition. expect a 6-3 6-2 win here by fed. djokovic in straight sets as well, i figure he comes out firing today and takes the first set easily, although hes had some trouble with the cold conditions, couldnt return a serve against hewitt due to this

Agree with your picks, but like so frequently in tournaments, the value of the betting opportunities is inversely proportional to the round of play. Don't really see a ton of value in either bet. Should be great matches nonetheless, especially murray-joker.

Updaed forecast showing less likelihood for rain. Hoppefully no roof.

If they are the last leg, I would always hedge something ... it's just silly not to. They will probably win, but guaranteeing money is always the best plan.

By the way, have a LINE OF THE DAY posted for the Fish-Haas match that was shuffled over to the Points Forum again if you're interested.

                              Adding ...

                              ATP Toronto Qualis: Russell +115
Russell against Mathieu. Mathieu is only getting his 2nd match on hard courts after getting barreled in the last two sets against Malisse in LA. Russell has been playing the US Open Hard Court series and done reasonably well with consecutive QF appearances in ATL & LA before losing in the opening round to Haas in DC this week. With PHM lacking match play, Russell should have a shot if he can maintain his serve early and force PHM to work in rallies. That's a good starting point for most Russell matches.

Good luck eagles. Rogers cup will be a nice break weather wise for these players. Pavly almost passed out yesterday in DC. I live in DC for the most part of the year but you couldnt pay me to go sit out in that 95 degree heat and high humidity in August and watch tennis, much less play it.
