Friday's Fire, But Probably Ice Plays
Playing both Germans on Friday. Mayer @ +190 to start. Kohlschreiber is +165 to follow. I do believe they can gain a split here. If Mayer wins, I stop there and don't go on Kohlschreiber. If Mayer loses, will try on Kohlschreiber. Outdoor clay. Mayer vs. Gasquet. Both have had their moments on clay in 2011. Mayer has been very good in Germany on this surface. 16-4 in the last two years. Gasquet has been very good on clay, but he also had not been involved in Davis Cup play since 2008 whereas Mayer got some good experience in the past year with three matches in DC play. Also likely playing Roddick @ -135 late in the day against Ferrer. You can say whatever you want about Roddick, but it's Davis Cup in his adopted home town. 10-0 on indoor hard courts in Davis Cup play in his career. Ferrer obviously is solid, but this indoor surface is not primed for his game. Most of his DC play has been on clay.

I like the Roddick play as well. Nice call on Mayer btw, just a shame he turned around and fkked it up after getting broken serving for the match and then getting injured.. crazy game.

RodDICK blows 7set points first set - including not serving it out at 5-4, 40-0 up and then blows the break lead in the second like you said. Could easily be up 2-0. What´s also true is that he´s totally dominated in rallies and is 0 for 32 on passing shots down the line. What a wash-up...

If I migh speak for the great EP, he has rochus in a future, so you know who he is rooting for. Personally I think Rochus has a more than a decent shot to win here. I have watched 3 of his matches and he really hasnt been challenged much by players, vs Isner who has as usual relied on his serve and the one break to win Oliver's game is suited to this surface. All the little dinks,dunks and slices he does I think can give big John a world of trouble today. And the line is rising on Isner, which is surprising to me considering all the past success Rochus has had here. Rochus +220..

I agree. He never seems to know when it's a good time to go to the net and often gets passed when he tries. It's frustrating to see.

He is 5 foot 6,can't see him taking on the bbig guys because of that but he certainly can play...

My play on Montanes was more of a play against Simon @ bigger odds on a surface switch + Montanes has had some success at this tournament. Tevari I see Youzhny at -140 and Petzschner at +120. Youzhny is much better on clay, but has not been in the greatest form this season. thnk Petzschner needs to be bigger odds on this surface. His best results on clay have come in Germany, but not at this tournament. Think it's a good one to pass on.

Looks like you might have been right about a fix in that Donskoy match. Guy was up a set and 3-0 in the 2nd and won three more games for the rest of the match. Did not hear about any injury that would have explained it otherwise. Another Russian turd.

I know deep in my butt that Chardy is going to lose because he always loses when I bet on him and is an untrusting son of bitch, but the price on Giraldo is a large overreaction IMO to beating a very average Jurgen Melzer. Giraldo was pretty solid, but I think he's being over valued here by at least $0.25. Consistency on dirt also isn't one of his best attributes. So chalk up the Chardy loss, but fukk it all.
