I disagree with Shari, who contended hard court was easier to bet than clay. It feels like hard is betting on the coin flip of who will serve better. At least with clay, the serve is de-emphasized a little bit and the better player can win. I forgot how easily serves can be held until I watched and looked at some stats.

But it looks like you're doing well with the hard court. Almost followed, but went the safe route and took Ryan Harrison.

Kevin Anderson at -200 against Michael Russell looks good. Am I wrong? Anderson's a big serving dick and really, beating Donald Young shouldn't count for much. I know Russell has his moments, but -200 seems fair for Anderson. Am I wrong?

Only worry point is that Russell beat him at Indian Wells this year on this surface. Anderson got the benefit of Davis Cup play on a hard surface to ease his transition from grass, so he should win. I'd feel okay about using it in a parlay, I just liked Isner better against Blake for my own choice.

I don't think Ginepri has an answer for the big lefty's serve. Ginepri could keep it close if his serve is on, but if Muller is pumping in aces ... I think he'll be tough to beat.

What I like doing is reviewing how the players served in previous tournament matches to judge. I was kind of stumped with Ginepri-Muller. Ginepri served really well, at a high percentage of 1st serves in, but Muller had an awesome ability to hold his 2nd serve and nailed a lot of aces. If he ups his percentages on 1st just a little, who breaks him in this tournament?

Yeah, if you look just at yesterday's matches for these two - you see the same thing. Muller just holds serve better. Ginepri struggled a little against Haas. Muller of course isn't immune to showing up like a hot bowl of shit, but on this surface I like his chances with Ginepri still working back into form.
