May I ask what u see in fognini though? I don't rate him highly at all and i would think Lopez would be a better dog play. Even though Lopez is coming of a marathon 5 setter, I honestly think he can still get past Fognini.

Fognini's price is kinda short though IMO so you're probably on the right side eagles.

Fognini has been dominant through two rounds and should be full of confidence here. GGL has been a fade for me most of the season. He just does not play very consistent tennis as evidenced by the five setter against Ilhan. Surface favors Fognini even if he doesn't have the best track record at the ATP level. It should be a battle, but I think Fognini gets the best of him at the end of the day. Fognini has also shown the ability to play against some of the better players in Slams in the past year.

Fognini is almost always good for multiple sets and an over too.

It would not really be an upset per say except based on price. GGL is ranked higher. Most of the matches tomorrow where the favorites are less than -200 on the men's side ... I would not consider big upsets if the dog priced player wins. For me though based on what I've seen, Fognini offers one of the better shots at a win I think at a reasonable price. Would not play it by itself as I cut off single plays around -150. Way I look at it is that GGL is no worse than Istomin who Fognini crushed and then the Italian totally wiped out Robert who had the big comeback against Berdych. This match sets up somewhat like that with a player coming in off a longer, emotional match. I think if Fognini can put the hammer down and win the opening set - GGL will have a tough time staying focused on the prospects of another long match.

I mean it's not a huge upset because Bartoli isn't total shit and is at home, but she played so poorly for the 2nd and 3rd set - at least until she was down 5-1 and then climbed back in for a bit. That is a bit surprising to me with as well as she played the last month or so. Oh well. Wozniacki getting a beatdown. Time for a new #1.

Fognini rolled after dropping the first set. Damn it. He was the one I was more worried about after the 1st set.

Man I should have followed my own advice in another thread about taking the three short dogs in the evenly matched ATP matches today: Wawrinka, Bellucci & Montanes. Youzhny is a no show, Montanes cruising to a straight sets win. I really think 2 of those 3 hit. My lean is that Tsonga will be the favorite who wins ... or at least I hope so since the only play I made on the dogs was Bellucci. Gasquet-Bellucci should be starting 15-20 minutes.

I don't think anything would be surprising with the WTA draw at this point. Azarenka still has some tough outs. I'll be more worried about Kvitova if she beats Li because of the "fast balls" - helps her game a lot, I think.

Bellucci can't touch Gasquet's serve and Bellucci's serve is not good today. Thought it'd be closer to the other way around.

Today was a dumb day on my part. I let too much chatter about Tsonga divert me from taking him. Should have at least been on the right side there.

Even though Rodionova seems unlikely to rally, I will gladly fade Vera from here on out. She's been broken four times, but broke Rodionova six times. Pavlyuchenkova possible in the next round for Vera.

Not to mention Rodionova has lost her serve several times this match when she was up 40-15 or 40-30 and could not close games out. Pavlyuchenkova has a much tougher serve. She also experienced Vera on clay earlier this year in a three set loss. Of course it being Russian v. Russian WTA .. the over is always a wise wager too.

At least Bellucci is holding serve early in the 3rd. Would be nice if he could nick Gasquet for a set and see what that does to Gasquet's mindset.

Georges/Bartoli had what looked to be the toughest draw out there having to play one another, then Stosur and then Wozniacki followed by the semis and finals. Now it looks like Bartoli will have a far easier walk to the semis and who knows if there will be any high seeds left by then.

Yep. He could have buried Gasquet. Breaking the opening game and then backing it up to go up 2-0. Instead, on-serve but at least Bellucci is getting points off Gasquet's serve now.
