I think books have a tough time knowing where to set those lines for doubles. Especially with as much partner swapping that takes place. Seems like fewer and fewer teams stick together all year.

I mean the Bryans used to be -500 to -1000 or something retarded for EVERY match I saw posted for most of a year. Guys are great, but they lose too. King is a great doubles player. Actually saw her play last year when I got to go to the US Open.

I think they have won 2 slams together. They are one of the few that have stayed together.-200 or abouts today..

Nice to see Rafa whipping Soderling's ass. Parlay is gonna hit pretty easily today. Come out in decent shape today if the doubles play can win.

Vamos Rafa. Parlay complete. Rafa should take apart Murray in the semis IMO.

It was hard to tell if Rafa was THAT GOOD or Soderling was just THAT BAD today

With that said, he should kill Murray

Rafa has been getting better all tournament IMO. Soderling had not really had to play anyone who was even 70% of the caliber of player Nadal is on clay prior to today. Simon is a decent player, but not great on this surface and Soderling wore him out. That Nadal dominated today shows me he is focused and knows he's getting comfortable now. If he doesn't beat Murray easily, I will be surprised. Murray would have been beaten both of the last two days IMO by Roger, Novak or Rafa rather easily.

Thanks for your tips. I avoided Azarenka today, since the price was too steep, and took Sharapova and Nadal. Easy covers

Moving on to tomorrow, I just really like Schiavone. Too much pressure on Bartoli tomorrow. Schiavone is reigning champion and has won a bunch of matches already that were tight. She's got the mental edge. And although the h2h doesn't include clay, I think it matters, just like Na Li's record over Azarenka. I think the price is fair on Schiavone.

Oh I'm sure I am under .500 or around .500 at-best. I run very hot and cold. Was ice cold for several days over the weekend and now rebounding. I try to make this an informational thread where people can hopefully get some insight and make their picks. Whether people fade or follow me is up to them. I never suggest blindly tailing people, but if you like what someone has to say about a pick, etc. then you make your choice and see what happens.

                              ATP Doubles: Myrni-Nestor [-110]
                              Li +170

I firmly believe Li or Bartoli will win tomorrow. So if Li doesn't do it, I may make a play on Bartoli. All you need is a split of the dogs to profit. However, if Li wins first-up .. I'll take the win and run. Doubles play for me is a little bit about revenge. Intriguing match as Nestor goes up against his former partner Zimonjic who now teams with Llodra. The revenge comes from Llodra-Zimonjic beating them in a dirt tourney some weeks ago. It took the "super breaker" after they split the opening two sets. Llodra-Zimonjic prevailing, 10-6. Both teams have been pretty dominant in the French Open. The Zimonjic team losing just one set, the Nestor team not losing a set and not being broken a single time on-serve. The Nestor-Zimonjic team had run deep at the French for three years before they split, so this will be interesting. Siding with Nestor as they will look for revenge from the earlier loss & Nestor has had more success with a variety of opponents @ RG.

For those of you who are crazy, have balls of steel or need a parlay filler:

French Open Mixed Doubles: Srebotnik-Nimonjic [-310]
Steep price, but this is a long time duo that is the #1 seed here. They are the defending champs of this event and have made the finals now in five of the last six years with two titles. They face unseeded Lipsky-Dellacqua who got the luxury of not having to play any seeded team in their portion of the bracket as they were knocked out early by other teams. The Srebotnik duo has not lost a set during this tournament, while the Dellacqua duo has been pushed to a "super breaker" finish in two of their last three, outlasting their opponents in their last match, 14-12. Experience should be the key here. Again, the price is steep so you may want to parlay it with something else you like today ... but it would be a major upset for the unseeded duo to win this IMO.

Sharapova lost more than Li won. 10 doublefaults, including 2 in the final serve game and 1 on match point. How do women want equality when they pull shit like that? Sharapova should be licking balls for a living, not hitting them.

I'm going in on Schiavone. After seeing a choking bitch like Sharapova, I'd like to try putting some money on someone that can actually comeback and win.

Decided to parlay the Mixed Doubles w/Nadal tomorrow. Price is -184. Chalky, but cuts the risk of taking -310 straight up & an untouchable play of -595 for Rafa by himself even though I expect him to punish Murray.

Bryan Brothers picking today to F around and possibly lose. Damn it. Opponents were +530 or so I think. Down a set and they've blown a 3-0 lead in the 2nd, back on-serve at 3-3. Why couldn't you fukks lose yesterday when I bet against you?

Ouch. Don't know why I played mixed doubles. Assholes lost in the super breaker 10-7. So much for that parlay.

                                                            Nadal-Murray Total Sets Over 3.5 [-106]

In spite of my earlier thoughts that this would just be a Rafa crusher, I am going to give the Scot some credit for his toughness. Rafa has not dropped as set since the Isner scare, but the nature of his service games I think will give Murray chances to break. Of course the caveat is that Murray is going to do the same on his serve as we've seen against Troicki & Chela. Still, I'm going to say the ankle is of little concern now after two full matches of managing it. Murray took a lopsided set off Rafa in Rome and if he can control his emotions, I'm going to say he snags one before Rafa ultimately finishes him off.

I picked Federer from the outset to pull the upset here, so I am going to stick to my guns. Probably a smaller wager because it's Djokovic and he's going to be a tough nut to crack, but I won't miss the opportunity even if Roger gets his ass handed to him again. Go Fed!

Too many people overreacting bc of the Nadal/soderling scoreline. Nadal's balls were still lacking depth. Glad to see someone finally believes murray can win a set.

They've beaten the #3 and #2 teams the past two matches, so even with Mirza-Vesnina playing well and having beaten the #1 seeds ... I think Hradecka-Hlavackova will have a shot. Mirza-Vesnina struggled a bit last round to close out, while the other team has been real impressive the last two rounds.
