Shari, are you a tennis player yourself? Keep up the good tennis talk and picks. I just looked at your thread and your spreadsheet, good stuff! Why do you stop making picks in later rounds of tournaments though?

Definitely not a tennis player.

Lines get sharper as tournaments progress - players normally get closer in skill level and experience. I try to make money by exploiting a book's mistake at over-valuing a player because of rank (which means nothing), H2H (which means next to nothing), etc - that's why I bet so many dogs. I still play a bet or two in later rounds if I'm feeling up to it but unless I post it either in here or in my spreadsheet, it's not something I'd want someone to tail.

Very true but knowing the state of Canadian tennis, we'll take all we can get now. He's lived in Canada since he was like 8; that makes him a Canadian to me.

Definitely not as much as I used to. I haven't even been following it very closely here at the moment. Not sure why - think I got burnt out because I was pretty absorbed in it for a few years. Now I'll bet the big races and maybe a few when I'm bored but that's about it. Have fun today!

Im especially looking forward to Hollywood park because my first race horse I have ever owned (20% share) was shipped there on Tuesday. She is a 2 year old filly (just a baby) named Hello Stormy. Saw her for the first time Thursday and my trainer says she should run at Hollywood in a couple months maybe sooner.... never know with horses. Anyway have a good day off and go get em soon.

I took Woz -5 and expected to win. But the stupid bitch Radwanska, who was down 0-30 and break points like every game she served, would find a way to hold more than she should have. The match wasn't as close as the 7-5, 6-3 would indicate.
