Glad to see you're backing Baghdatis. I couldn't resist betting more, even after a very profitable week, but I'm glad I got Murray @-102 when the line first opened and I'm also on the Clijsters -2.5 handicap.

Believe me, I tried to find something that I felt comfortable on because although I made some great money, who doesn't want to make more? But I just couldn't do it. The only reason I put a little on Fed at all was because I managed to get him at +109 in a Final and I sentimentally hope he wins. I could see this one going 3 sets but I could also find reasons to see it go 2. I just couldn't come up with anything substantial anywhere. And with the women, the handicap worried me because Kim still has brain lapses from time to time. All it takes is one bad set from her and that would be shot as well.

Just too many variables floating through my head and I finally came to the conclusion to call it a day. At least that's a sign for me that these should be 2 great final matches. I can't remember the last time I only had one small bet on both of them combined.

Hey guys.

I've been thinking about these matches for awhile and I'm going to skip them both other than a small play on Federer. To me, the mens' match is almost a coin flip at this point and there's no need for me to piss away any of my profits this week on basically a 50/50 chance. As much as I love putting a bet on a great match, I'm here to make money beyond anything else, no matter how much I love tennis, and this isn't a situation I see as worthy of a bet on my part.

As for the women, although I was leaning Kim to win the whole thing as of yesterday, now that she didn't have to play her last match I'm not willing to lay the chalk on her or even play with the handicap without having a chance to see how she would've held up in the semi. So again, no play for me.

I am however putting a bit on Baghdatis at +113 in Cincinnati today along with my Federer bet. Again, both of these are smaller plays. These have been 2 great tournaments for me and I'm looking forward to next week.

You were spot on, again. That first set from Clijsters was really hard to watch. Luckily I also bet Clijsters to win straight up, but I lost too much by getting greedy and taking that handicap.

I honestly don't know why or how you deal with that bullshit in your thread. It's unbelievable. I was actually hoping you weren't going to post in there at all today when you weren't around for the early games. 95% of those guys would be lost and maybe it would force them to smarten up.

I'm actually considering shutting my thread down during the US Open and go back to PMing my plays to a few friends during that time. I get one or two guys who come in here every so often and say something snarky. Like the guy above who sarcastically 'congratulated' me on a play I didn't even make but said I liked and she ended up winning anyways. But usually the people in here are cool and actually understand tennis, or at least try to if they're just starting out. During the US Open though I know randoms will come in and try to start shit and I can't be bothered. This is supposed to be about helping each other make cash and get as much as we can from the books. Not kindergarten.

The one book I'm using at the moment doesn't post ITF lines so I haven't been paying attention to the Challengers at all for a few weeks.

I was gonna make some bets before I went to bed and there are some ridiculous matches to start! Wawrinka vs Almagro? Ferrer vs Dolgopolov? Querrery vs Petzschner? Those are some hard ass matches for just the 1st round!
