I've been tailing some of Paco's picks for about 3 weeks now on baseball...started w/ $100 and now I have $400.

Really hope you keep the thread open and post plays during the US open Shari, even though I don't post here much I check it every day and tail you on a lot of plays, hope thats OK, same with Paco's thread, you guys have to put up with a lot, but your time and effort is much appreciated, keep up the great work

As always, I have a lot of first round plays and they are small to try to protect from any nasty surprises.

SMALL parlay: Ferrer/Wickmayer/deBakker/Groth/Troicki +500

Parlay: Melzer/Roddick -115

Other than Wickmayer in the big parlay, the odds on the other players are decent enough that even if you only took 2 of them to be safer, you should still get a return paying just around even money. I also accidentally included Ferrer in the parlay as well as took him with the handicap so just watch out for that. Best of luck everyone!

I honestly don't know why or how you deal with that bullshit in your thread. It's unbelievable. I was actually hoping you weren't going to post in there at all today when you weren't around for the early games. 95% of those guys would be lost and maybe it would force them to smarten up.

I'm actually considering shutting my thread down during the US Open and go back to PMing my plays to a few friends during that time. I get one or two guys who come in here every so often and say something snarky. Like the guy above who sarcastically 'congratulated' me on a play I didn't even make but said I liked and she ended up winning anyways. But usually the people in here are cool and actually understand tennis, or at least try to if they're just starting out. During the US Open though I know randoms will come in and try to start shit and I can't be bothered. This is supposed to be about helping each other make cash and get as much as we can from the books. Not kindergarten.

good morning shari (at least for me anyways; i suspect you're in a different time zone - england perhaps?) i've just started following some of the tennis threads and yours is one of the best. my past wagering in tennis has been dreadful and i'm still learning. that's why these threads are great. i know it only takes a few morons to sour the whole experience, but i would just like to say THANK YOU for taking the time to post and having the courage of your conviction to stand behind your picks. this is just one guy's plea (maybe too strong a word?!) for you to keep rolling along.

I'm honestly the worst person to ask - I don't think I've gone all in for maybe 15 years or longer.
Yes, I think Wickmayer will win but it's also the first round. No clue what her motivation is this week or how her body's holding up. I can't with any good conscience give you advice on that one and feel ok with it. Sorry.

Check ur book rules. What if she takes a bad step and ends up retiring after losing the first set because of a sprained ankle? All-in is never a good idea. Unless all-in $ is immaterial to you.

I mainly use TennisInsight but have just renewed my license at OnCourt. It's a database that you download each day with updated stats and it keeps track of and allows you to filter by a million things ie fatigue, form, etc...

Why didn't you say anything before? I would've considered what you had to say. To be honest though, I don't mind losing that one. I like taking bigger chances at the start of the week when I'm only betting small. As my bet size increases, my daredevil activities decline.
