And yeah, even if Mathieu loses I'm more than happy with today. I honestly thought I'd get hit much harder so if I end up down one bet and the small ones I'll be stoked!! Still not sure how that one poster in here managed to 'give it all back' but I went back and looked at some of his posts in my thread and there's never one positive one. Even when he tails me and wins.

Well, if I had to rely on either Kimmy or Safina to make or break my good day, I'd 110% rather have Kimmy in my corner. Try not to let breaks frighten you, especially with the women, since they fortunately/unfortunately often don't amount to much.

Another reason is these damn non majors. A lot of players just don't care enough. So many times a player (male or female) will lose the first set and then just tank it.

That was me, I am not going to get into a argument with you as you dont have to post, you owe me/us nothing and can quite rightly tell me to jump off a bridge.

I said it because only 2 won and 6 lost yesterday, yet you said you in another post you only ended up one bet down, however I can see my mistake was staking all the same, and you stated small.

That is why I said I gave it all back

As I always say, this thread is to talk about matches and share opinions about plays. For some reason, it's also where a chunk of regulars in the tennis forum like to post their own plays and hang out during matches which is awesome. If people want to tail my picks, that's their choice but there's nothing more that I can do other than give a warning that I would probably have a bad day after hitting every play but one the day before and posting when to bet small. I would think that in itself would be a signal to lower one's bet sizes for that day to see how it pans out. At the end of the day I ended up down 2 bets and the small ones which I'm content with considering the amount of money I made the day before. Best of luck on your plays.

Not really but I'm not going to take a side in that one. I see Nalbandian's price has already dropped a little which isn't too surprising as I think the majority of people will be on him in the end.

Think I'm just going to take the over and maybe put a little on both of them to win it 2-1 as the price is about 20 cents more than taking either of them individually and $1 more than the 3 set option which is strange.

The -2 is a handicap on the total games won by a player. I never post set handicaps like that. If I like someone to win in 2 or 3, I'll post 2-0 or 2-1.

Nope. If I was ever 100% sure, I'd go all in.

I do like the bet though and think I'm getting a deal on the handicap but you never know what will happen in the world of the WTA.

I'm not convinced by Pavly at those odds against a good hard courter. I didnt see her match last night but statistically it looks like Elena had a howler. I'm with you on Pennetta though and best of luck with all your bets, as always Shari

Peer faced a retirement with Govortsova and then #154 to get here whereas Pavly faced Hantuchova and then Dementieva, after winning Istanbul and taking last week off to prepare for this stretch. I backed Pavly during Istanbul and then jumped off at the wrong time thinking the chubbster would finally wear down. She didn't and scooped my money in the process. If Peer continues to struggle with getting her first serve in, she's going to be cooked quickly as her % has been awful whereas Pavly has continued to post a substantial return %.

I would've taken Pavly on the ML and probably parlayed her with someone to reduce the chalk. The fact that I can take her with a -2 at this price is something I can't ignore. As I said, nothing's a sure thing and I'd never even suggest this was at all but I feel ok with this bet.
