Situational play there. Need one of these two dogs to hit to get on the board today after a crappy morning. Hoping that Petrova total wasn't the beginning of the curse for the day.

      CHALLENGER PLAY: TURSUNOV -140
The Russian took a wildcard entry into the Binghamton Challenger this week. He meets Aussie Matosevic who won a Challenger in Aptos, CA last month. Since then, he is just 2-2. Motivation clearly is the question here, I think Tursunov is motivated to move himself in the rankings. He got some well-needed court time in DC last week and wasn't a total mess. I cannot lie, the other reason I am taking him is reading his Twitter account for the last few minutes. Dude tweeted about the Teen Choice Awards and has a great sense of humor.

"This just in: Taylor Swift's 6 layers of make-up have damaged more pelicans than BP's oil spill after she jumped into the lake."

" I have no idea, but David Beckham was just talking. He got a Sports Male of the year. He beat LB James. What the F%&K did he do?!"

"Time 2 do laundry!!! Isn't this update awesome?! I will separate whites from the darks. Whites will go into hot water darks into cold. Yaay! .... @intira13 No I travel with a midget that does my laundry for me. I bought him used over in Kyrgyzstan a few years back."

Fawk. Kohlschreiber wins by retirement but only 4 games into the match. The reverse Donkey-denko mojo was working, but another cancelled wager.

EVENING PARLAY: VERDASCO + SHARAPOVA [-120]
I can forgive Verdasco for crashing out in DC last week to Baghdatis. The Spaniard looked admittedly rusty in his return to the court after last playing on clay in early July. He draws Schwank who is making the surface transition from clay to hard court here. Schwank also carries little in the way of form at 3-7 in his last 10 matches. His only real success on hard courts has come at the Challenger level. If Verdasco can iron out his service issues, I think he progresses here in straights. Sharapova draws Kuznetsova and it's a good spot for Maria. She's been training in Cincy since last Thursday whereas Kuznetsova had to travel from San Diego on Sunday after her grueling week in San Diego where she won the title. Kuzy is also just 2-4 vs. Russians in 2010 with both wins over Kleybanova, while Sharapova is 6-1 with her lone loss to Kirilenko back at the Australian Open. Much like Verdasco, if Sharapova keeps her serve steady, I think she will progress in a competitive match.

Thanks for the VERDASCO + SHARAPOVA parlay. It's looking good so far. You have won me money in the past (i'm a big time lurker, haha). So thought this was a great first post thanking you! ok, no more ass kissing as i'm really an a-hole and will probably be banned in the future.

All kidding aside, thanks for doing what you do every day helping losers like me win money.

MaSha gets it done in the 3rd. Both Verdasco & Sharapova F-ed around with their serves again, but survived. Parlay complete!

On a side note, I will be following Tursunov on Twitter, I want to know why he withdrew today + the guy is pretty entertaining.

                      JANKOVIC-DUSHEVINA OVER 20.5 [-120]
Like this. Jankovic out of form right now and always a questionable server. Dushevina made it through qualis and the first round here. Expecting the WTA serving shenanigans in this one.

Agreed on that. This one was the best opportunity to me. I mean a guy playing two matches in one day and traveling 16 hours to get to his next match in just a day ... can't get a better angle than that. I'll be back on the Berankis bandwagon for his next tournament since he'll be rested.

                              WEDNESDAY CHALLENGER SPLIT PROJECT

Taking both these dogs, looking to gain at least a split and a profit.

                              DODIG +145
He draws Kunitsyn. Both won their openers in Istanbul in straights with Kunitsyn destroying his overmatched Uzbeki opponent. Dodig beat Mahut who was DQ'ed late in the 2nd set. Difference maker here to me is Dodig has more of a weapon with his serve if it is humming. Taking a chance that it does more work than the Russian's.

                              GREMELMAYR +125
The German draws Kukushkin. Very similar results in 2010 on the Challenger level for these guys with a couple titles for both on hard and clay courts. Difference this time is that Kukushkin's hard court success has mainly come in his home country, while Gremelmayr seems to be an equal opportunity offender in varying countries. Both won their openers pretty simply.

                                    PARLAY: ZVONAREVA + WICKMAYER [+106]
Zvonareva suffered a tough loss last week in San Diego to Coco Vandeweghe in which she blew what looked to be a steamroller win for her as she wound up losing in 3. Some of that form can be forgiven as it was Vera's first hard court tournament of the summer and first match play since Wimbledon. Expect a better performance with that court time now under her belt as she draws Kirilenko. Kirilenko has been steady, but not spectacular since the US hard court series began. She routed Bondarenko yesterday. The head-2-head here is a bit dated with all matches happening two years ago or more, but worth noting that Zvonareva has dominated the matches with Kirilenko failing to win a set in three matches. Wickmayer draws Dulko. Dulko appeared fit after suffering an ankle injury last week that forced her to withdraw as she spanked Safarova in straights. Wickmayer whipped Arn in straights. Wickmayer has played fairly well in this hard court series, but her double fault issues have kept her from getting on a roll against the better competition she played like Kuznetsova and Stosur. Wickmayer says she liked the hot conditions in Cincy, so if her serve can be steady today, I like her to move on.

                                      DOUBLES PLAY: CERMAK-MERTINAK -135
This is a solid duo that has teamed to win five doubles titles. They have made two finals this season, including their last action in Croatia on clay. Their hard court results this season have not been as consistent as 2009, but in going with the formula I like in doubles, sticking with the regular partners against Bopanna-Butorac who have never paired together. Each is a solid doubles specialist with their normal partner, but being teamed up for the first time against a solid veteran duo is a tall task. Siding with experience here, but will not be surprised if this goes to a super breaker.

F*ck Victor Hansecu. If Polansky plays with precision like he did against Melzer, there is no doubt he can beat this prick. Polansky will obviously have crowd support as the last Canadian playing in Toronto. Maybe they can hurl some insults at Hanescu and rattle him into some more spitting and quitting.

Maybe Fognini on the handicap. Davydenko just cannot be trusted at this point.
