Yeah it's definitely not preferable to the players at night time. You can't breathe in there because of the already contained heat and then the additional body heat. The only time it helps is when the sun is blazing down. Even then they wait until it's usually 40+ on the Wet Globe Bulb index. I'd be very surprised if they closed it tonight. And this is why I always caution about blindly looking at stats without digging deeper:
3 of the 4 past AO champions have all won in straight sets in their Semis before going on to win the Final. The only one who didn't was Nadal. So depending on how you look at it, not sure a guy who wins in straights really is going to be bothered by the lack of rest, no? Be careful with the stats tennis reporters throw out... they live on soundbites to make themselves sound knowledgeable to someone who tunes into tennis maybe during Slam finals. They're not geared towards a bettor.

I'd feel much better with plus money on a guy who isn't going to wear down physically most likely and with the weather the hottest it's been in days. Doesn't mean it's a winning play, but if I was actually playing this - Rafa would be my dude. I'm rooting for him any how since I've got a heavier future on him vs. my Djokovic future + it's good for tennis for #1 to get beat.

Yeah my guess is there will be quite a lot of action taken maybe on whomever drops the first set to get them at plus money for people who might be trading out on their original positions.
People will say during the match when one player is ahead "I knew this, I knew that" and then they'll flip flop throughout the match and if their player wins, they might be silly enough to think we had a clue. I've kept harping on it for days now but you know how the Think Tank crew are always going on about how efficient NFL lines are, especially during the playoffs and the Superbowl? This is the equivalent of the Superbowl except that the amount of money wagered will be quite a bit higher when all is said and done. We're all just guessing at this point. The smartest play is no play. However I've already broken my rule of not betting on Semis onward so I may as well finish it off in style

That's the one thing I have learned the past couple years betting Slams, invest in futures to make the last two rounds as comfortable as possible and for me, go for the best prop on the board to supplement those positions.

Yeah that's definitely the smartest way to do it. I really liked the Semis though so I figured I was stiffing myself if I didn't bet. Same goes for this one now. If he loses, fair enough but since I didn't make any futures bets, I may as well give it a go at the price I got.
