don't think there's a higher variance sport to bet on than tennis, when big favorites so routinely get manhandled by the dog...like Rybarikova, Siegemund today to name just two...
i'm not talking about the dog squeaking through, which is the way dogs win in most other sports...i'm talking about the dog kicking ass to the degree it looks as if the books inverted the odds as a practical joke

it's tough in the qualies.. because you don't know you're on a player that has their shit together
until they get through a round or two.. then you know they are invested. but what peed me off
today was the stoppage in Quito with Estrella about to serve for the match.. then bang, it pours
rain. enough to lock the guy up after a long stoppage until he came back to form. I thought
Siegemund would play better than she did, unless Bonaventure was just on fire.. Bonaventure
just came in from the Scotland tournament.. so i thought maybe Siegemund would have a better
game although it was terribly late.. after midnight.. and perhaps Bonaventure being a Belgian
gave her a lift in Antwerp ? I don't know because we don't get to watch the qualifiers.. every
qualifier bet comes with a "qualifying" disclaimer. best to wait until the 1-2 rounds to evaluate
how well a player is. btw Pfizenmaier was a nice upset.

you're right...exactly the other side of the same coin i was talking about with Pfizzer today...biggish dog just steam-rolling the fave...this seems to happen (in tennis in general...the women's game most emphatically) at a rate much higher than any other sport i'm aware of

planning on taking Lopez straight.. but holding off on pre-match odds of -233, -185 1st Set,
because I want to see how Feliciano is serving today. In the only prior match between them,
which took place at Washington just last year, Estrella won in a tight match but I went and looked
at the match stats.. Lopez was only hitting 57% first serve.. it was the difference. So if Lopez is
looking solid on serve today I want to take him.
