Be easy, EP. Just a few days ago, you had a nice profit for this thread. You just lost the rhythm for a little bit, but we all lose it at times.

Do what you have to do. Whatever it takes to clear your head and get your gambling-related thoughts on the positive side again.

Not sure why I wouldn't have PIS-ed on the Over for Haas-Dimitrov. Seemed like a banger, but me stupid.

Hey 1/3 is already better than any day I had betting real money this week on tennis. Brutal Juice was the name of the game. Expecting one tight set and then hopefully a 6-4. 6-3 finish in the 2nd by somebody. Should be Delpo, but we shall see.

1st set looks like a dead lock for a TB. Delpo had a few chances to get a break, but didn't do squat. Delpo has been in control on his serve pretty firmly without a ton of pressure.

I've been buried with work for a majority of the past 80 hours, so I haven't seen much of Citi Open ... Judging by an earlier post you made, Del Po was in pretty good form tonight. As I watched his semifinal loss to Djokovic at Wimbledon, I realized how much momentum he's gaining. He could do something special at one of the two hard-court slams if his movement and forehand are on point. Crazy to think how good he is, yet how much he has failed to compete with the "big four."

Injuries really what stopped him IMO. More of the mentality where when he got hurt, he stopped believing he could win. The Wimbledon injury honestly may have been what set him right. Proved he could compete being hurt.

                                  ATP Montreal Preview
The return of Rafa along with Djokovic & Murray making their first post-Wimbledon appearances should make this an exciting tournament. This Masters series event has been won by one of those three in each of the last six years. Seeds generally make up the semis here most of the recent years, so while it may be a higher seed - seeing a total outside late at the Rogers Cup is not commonplace.

                                  DJOKOVIC QUARTER
With the larger field of entries, this plays closer to a Grand Slam and the #1 seed is rewarded with a fairly straight forward draw. Gasquet leads the charge down on the bottom of the quarter. Last year when the event was in Toronto, Gasquet made the Finals. He's got a pretty nice draw as well if he can find his game. Klizan or Bellucci first won't be a cakewalk. Nishikori is the other seed in this bottom part of the quarter. He's got the name, but again his past work on American hardcourts has not been great overall. I do like his draw with Polansky first up and then Seppi or Rosol, but nothing screams out that Nishikori should be trusted. On top, Djokovic gets Tomic or F.Mayer first. Tipsarevic is also up here with a mish mosh of vets like Nieminen and Istomin. Canadian WC Peliwo could be a candidate to upset Nieminen. Istomin gets Tipsarevic. Istomin could very well pull an upset. This tournament has been a favorite of Tipsarevic, but his form remains woeful. This looks tailor made for a Djokovic-Gasquet rematch from last year, albeit in the quarters this year. Some good first round matches in this quarter, but all-in-all the end result looks like it will be in line with the seeding mostly likely.

                                  NADAL QUARTER
Nadal arrived early to get extra work in Montreal. How it pays off is anyone's guess, but it's always difficult to think Rafa won't bring some magic when the doubters are out in full effect. His draw though will do him few favors. Janowicz is in his half of the quarter and Haas and Wawrinka are the top seeds in the bottom half. Nadal gets Levine or Malisse first-up. Both will be good warmups for him, but he can't afford to play sloppy. Levine can be tricky on this surface and I think he's got a good shot to oust Malisse in the opening round. Benneteau & Janowicz is the marquee match-up in this half of the quarter in the opening round. Janowicz has to prove his arm is healthy. He's had a few weeks to rest, so I'd expect him to be okay. If he is, he is one of those guys Nadal will hate to see. In the bottom half, Haas is in the best form and there are a lot of quaifiers sprinkled in here. Wawrinka will be another who has to prove health after retiring with a back issue in his last tournament. He'll face Kohlschreiber or Paire, one of whom could sneak through against Wawrinka. This is a tough quarter to read with the injury issues of some of the top seeds. Haas is the consistent one here, so he might be the best option to at least be in the quarterfinal round. Nadal, Janowicz or Wawrinka could get hot - but it'll be best to wait and see.

                                  FERRER QUARTER
Ferrer hasn't often been able to do much in his prep for the US Open. His draw this year allots him a chance to change that easily. He has Llodra or Bogomolov first-up. Simon is the only other seed in his portion of the quarter. Simon opens with Davydenko in what could be a real shitfest. Weintraub plays Andujar in the other first rounder. If Ferrer can't find form against this bunch, yikes. On top, Berdych leads a more competitive quarter. He will be tested right away by Anderson or Dolgopolov. Anderson would be the obvious guess. Berdych has owned him though, so despite Anderson's good form in this swing - Berdych will be confident of a W. Good first rounders on bottom with Pospisil against Washington finalist Isner & Almagro against Stepanek. Pospisil is sure to be a popular dog choice with Isner having logged a lot of miles in the last two weeks, not to mention he'll be playing in front of his home crowd. Almagro-Stepanek should be a solid match. Stepanek was pretty solid in Washington and with Almagro's lack of match play, Stepanek could have a slight edge in what are usually very competitive battles between these two. Berdych had trouble getting going last Summer and had to enter the Winston-Salem tournament which pushed him into a great US Open. With a tough top of the quarter, it would not surprise me to see Berdych losing before the quarters.

                                  MURRAY QUARTER

We're already salivating over what could be with Murray the top seed in this quarter and Del Potro awaiting him if seeds hold to the quarters. Del Potro comes in off the DC title and he looked mostly solid all the way through. He's got some decent competition in his half of the quarter, but no one who should match him if he's playing consistent. Raonic is the highest seed in this half with Del Potro. Raonic was a disappointing ouster early in Washington. His partnership with Ljubicic has failed to produce anything great yet, but the idea seemed to be getting Raonic right by the time the US Open arrived. Maybe playing in Canada gives him the extra boost, but with Chardy first-up and possibly an in-form Youzhny in the following round, I'm siding more likely that Raonic is watching this on TV before the quarterfinals roll around. Youzhny is the one to watch as the X-factor. The Gstaad title was a tad surprising given that clay is not his best surface, so the confidence from that title + getting onto a good surface for him could yield more good results. Murray is back after nabbing that Wimbledon title and the time off should have allowed him time to put that in the rearview. He typically plays very well on the hard court Masters events, so a deep run is expected. It won't be easy with Dimitrov or Granollers first-up. Fognini is the other seed in this portion of the quarter. He'll go against Baghdatis in what should be a good 1st rounder, especially given that Baggy may have finally woken up from his season-long slumber. Gulbis & F.Lopez is the other 1st rounder, a heavy hitting encounter expected. So long as Murray is able to find some rhythm early, he should ease through to the quarters where we could get that marquee Del Potro-Murray match-up.

Seppi has never won a match at Rogers Cup, but this is his easiest first-round draw in his career at this tournament. Does Rosol have a legit shot here to upset? They've split their two matches on hard courts, with Seppi taking their only outdoor hard-court meeting earlier this year.

Man, it's hard to bet on Levine after his performance a while ago (as a -350ish fave) against Sugita..."mental toughness" and Levine can never be used in the same sentence without the word NOT thrown in...but who knows maybe that's factored into the price and why he's the dog here...i can only assume his opponent is nothing to write home about either

I wouldn't touch Rosol with a ten foot pole. He's faded into oblivion from the Wimbledon upset of 2012. Also not comfortable with Seppi's play on this surface either, good no bet IMO.

Surprising result so far in the U-Rad/Pennetta match, though it's only complete through 1 set so far.
