Depends on prices involved. Usually I don't put many that are over -450 in thete. Most of the ones I have done end up +400 or better if they survive to the last leg.

if i may say so, even writing out your leans and what/how you feel a match should pan out is very helpful. Maybe the picks you take aren't even your favorite. You knew querry/istomin was going over yesterday but had a rough start so you missed it (or so you said). I read it, it made sense, and it ended up making me money. Just knowing how you feel generally without just stating picks helps to gauge certain plays.....if that makes sense.

your thread is a go to for my tennis capping, i know you know a lot more than i do. The little gems you dish out are great, but if you aired out all your feelings, got some good discussion going, maybe it would help weed out the strongest, most sensible picks.

Slumps happen. Drains your confidence & makes you 2nd guess yourself. I just have to get back to picking and not sweating the outcome. Talked myselff off of Steps-Llodra under for example because I didn't want to sweat that and the inclusion of it for a Parlay.

Basically, my brain is getting in the way.
Honestly the OP plays today were about the most I liked. The Isner total is an obvious brain fart.

Merely out of curiosity: Did you like the under solely as a play on Steps' winning in two more or less straightforward sets or was there additional thought behind it?

Yes. Steps in straights. Llodra on outdoor hard courts is a mess. Indoors he is good.

Good choice. I've been off for the past 10 days to clear my mind. Most likely considering just waiting for meaningful baseball, football, and selective major plays. Drove myself crazy this summer with violent swings up and down with no rhyme or reason.

Well it's a matter really of just sticking to first picks and not overthinking for me. After you have a couple shitty days, you over think - especially maddening when the first picks wind up winners and the trash you over thought are losers.

I may post a pick a day along with the OP if Haas survives, but gonna go with the gut and not over do it if I do anything else. I think part of the reason I have had trouble this week is that lines have not been posted the night before, so I am left trying to do my homework on matches while working too. Can be done, but I'm much better being able to read and research the night before with lines in place.

I don't really know if -400 is too steep for Milos...It can be a very fine line between him barely winning and losing with his serve that can be extremely hard to break.
