Betway confiscates £464.50 in player winnings

Betway (SBR rating D-) complaint #8 has been filed. A player had £464.50 in winnings confiscated after making a withdrawal request. The player's only violation was to wager in excess of 30% of his bonus amount. Betway is using the bizarre rule to justify confiscating winnings from players. any chance Betway will get a rating F? ... I mean how many victims do you need??

Hi redski - although I'm probably not the best one to answer this as I'm not involved with rating books at all, there was another recent article about Betway here.

In that one, it mentioned Betway's current rating and stated "If the sportsbook was not refunding deposits, or confiscated winnings that did not involve a bonus, SBR would adjust their rating to F."

Hopefully that offers a bit of an explanation for you

I hope it will happen soon. I don't think Betway will give my money back, so at least they should get a damn F!

I used to bet there 2-3 years ago and was wery satisfied with betway. They had pretty high limits and there were no cashout problems. I guess they went the wrong way
