1. I'm not aware of any evidence of past wrongdoing, so I can't comment.
We are not personally aware, but it can be ascertained by the way the rest of the shit went down that the person has indeed been accused of scamming by several other shops.
2. Even if the player was guilty of past wrongdoing, how is that relevant?Comment -

#40HE HAS ADMITTED TO DOING CHARGEBACKS! What more proof do you need? SBR and TheRX as well as Easystreet have verified over 20 books have BANNED him from play. Do you honestly think a person who is on the "up and up" would have this problem?
If all these chargebacks were on US soil Cory would be in jail right now with several felonies on his record for FRAUD.Comment -

#42No one would have blamed EZ for banning him either. The problem is that they didn't; instead, they allowed him to make deposits and play. When a book takes your action, and you beat them fairly (as was the opinion of the company who made the casino software in this case), they should pay you.Comment -

How is a book supposed to know that from a new player? Should books start doing background checks before they accept a new player? (not sarcastic) Also cory has lied numerous times so what makes you even think that he would register with real information?
Bottom line is we will never know the truth. All I know is that Easystreet pays me and gives me excellent lines and bonuses as well as the best customer service in the industry!Comment -

#45yes they should. If i own a book I would take every precaution to protect myself before any problems arise. CC's here do it here in this country. Before they take a deposit they should just do a name check with other books to see. I could care less in this case what happens, but books need to be more careful. I am sorry if it hurts the rest of us, but stories like this ruin offshore betting for all of us, and it can all be prevented beforehand. When they accept his cash deposit they accept a contract with him. If he plays fairely he should be paid and banned later. They should at least return his deposits here.

#46ffs it's completely irrelevant whether the guy did chargebacks at other books or not. it's none of ez's business.
as another poster rightfully commented previously in this thread: if ez is really that worried about this player doing chargebacks at other books, use the 46k to compensate these other books instead of paying the player. ez doesn't do this, but simply keeps the cash for itself. theres no justification at all here; either the player deserves the cash, or the books he screwed over (NOT ez) deserve it. unless ez can prove the player broke their rules, which they can't, it's not their money to keep. ez is obv a scam book (likely operating on a shoe string budget anyway), pure and simple. i can't believe people, except a few obvious shills, are actually debating this.Comment -

#47I found it distasteful that they chose the 46K figure instead of say 50k, which sounds much larger anyway. Why bring attention to a figure you just recently stole. Whoever is in charge of advertising should be shot.Comment -

It was to kick Corey square in the balls and also a thank you to therx, which we all knew what the decision was gonna be anyway.
What Corey may or may not have done in the past should have had absolutely no bearing on this particular case.
EZ claimed he used a BOT which it was proven by the software provider that he DIDNT, so if EZ is this "up n up" book they should have paid him and then banned him for life and put his name in that little offshore "black book".
EZ took his CASH deposits over n over without blinking an eye and then deny a legit win cuz of what he did at other books in the past.
When ez goes out of business within a year good luck on your new scambook powers.Comment -

#51I'll admit to stealing a candy bar when I was five. Does that mean you- somebody I never stole from, or attempted to steal from- is justified in robbing me?
What more proof do you need? SBR and TheRX as well as Easystreet have verified over 20 books have BANNED him from play. Do you honestly think a person who is on the "up and up" would have this problem?
Of course not. It means you're nothing but a garden variety thief who chose an unsympathetic victim. Like somebody who goes and rapes a prostitute, because, hey, they do it for a living, so somehow it's less bad and nobody really cares about prostitutes, so it won't blow up in your face as much. You're still nothing but a piece of shit for doing it- hell, worse than a piece of shit for still trying to claim any other motivation when you're caught red-handed.

#53I was thinking the exact same thing...There is no way in hell that a Powers run book is just giving away 46k. Just look at their march madness contest ($1,000 if you pick a perfect bracket, but should you miss one game, you get nothing). Compare that to ANY other sportsbook's that ran a free contest where they give away xx amount to the top 10 or 100 finishers which totals 25k or 50k or even 100k in guaranteed payouts. EZ does not have that kind of money. To enter this contest...There is no doubt will have to deposit a certain amount to order to be eligible....and most likely, you'll have to roll any winnings over multiple times...Nice freeroll contest EZ!!Comment -

#55This supposed $46K giveaway is probably just an extremely desperate gambit on the part of ezstreet to stay afloat. They must be dealing with a rash of withdrawals. They were obviously a Mickey Mouse operation to begin with (can't pay off $46K?), so the proverbial "run on the bank" is going to shut them down if they can't quickly assuage their customers' fears.
I see this contest as a combination of a payoff to the shills over at therx and a propaganda move intended to suggest that they are well capitalized. Of course, I don't for a second believe that they will give away $46K. It has already been discussed in this thread why it is foolish to believe that. But they probably will throw a couple thousand dollars to a few therx rubes in order to give the appearance that the contest is legit.Comment -

#57Can we get some verified proof of any other Mr. Powers complaint that is legit?
Also since when do we compare "Candy Bars" to 46,000.00?
I find it rather hilarious that you have a scam artist who has admitted to charge backs and has a checkered history with books in the past and because of players like him committing fraud against books it makes it a bigger and bigger hassle for the rest of us. I also find it hilarious the amount of inaccurate posts that people have accusing myself or stevex of being Mr. Powers. Use your head for one moment and realize we are both Pro's and SBR has to VERIFY sportsbook deposits with books that we played with which OBVIOUSLY involves knowing our real names.
So if people want to start throwing out how MR. Powers has scammed people a mile long show me proof. We already have Cory's self admission about chargebacks and being a dishonest player. Where is the proof of MR. Powers being the same. I have gotten paid and if you look back in the payouts thread numerous other Easystreet customers have been paid. If you have not ever played at the book frankly spouting off lies or throwing "candy bar" comparisons is a joke.
Furthermore, I find it rather funny how someone thinks books should do background checks. How many people like to submit documents? How many people bitch and moan daily about how books request information? Well because of people like cory this is probably a road we will head down.
A simple fact is Easystreet is defending itself as well as other books. Why let a scam artist cost your book money that was not won fairly? I certainly hope that cory get's his deposits refunded but if he doesn't then I think Easystreet should also share some of that money with the other books that were scammed.Comment -
