#107You'll see that I said I was involved in the industry before on page 2 of this whole dialogue Operaman. I live and work in Costa Rica and enjoy it, never denied it. I don't like seeing people get screwed though especially in and industry where the losers outrank the winners about 100 to 1, winning should be celebrated by a book and used as a promotional tool instead of trying to cheat someone who played and won.Comment -

The OP is obviously lying about part, at least, of "her" story (else she wouldn’t have pointedly avoided addressing the issue regarding proof that she was travelling in CR when she signed up), but I agree that if BetEd booked the bets, and doesn't pay, that's theft and should be grounds for blacklisting. I just don't expect to see it happen.Comment -

#109Well put atakdog. I'm not saying that the OP is being honest in all portions of her story, but I do believe she placed bets which won and is not getting paid and what BetED is doing is a dangerous precident for them to set because all it does is lead down the road to "only players who lose every day get paid" i.e. noone.Comment -

#110One other thing: some have doubted that the OP, who just signed up with a sportsbook for the first time (but later said (s)he had wagered before), could possibly have understod the Pinnacle lean.
It doesn't prove anything, but within a week of signing up for the first time (a couple months ago), I had read a couple books on the sports gambling, had spent quite a few hours reading on a couple of these forums, and could explain the Pinnacle lean (albeit not perfectly). Some people do their research.
Now if only I could turn $1000 into 19K...Comment -

#111Last time I checked they are trying to check if I am American or not. Also, answering my critics on this, all of you have great wild theories to explain the 7 bets in Costa Rica, what about the 100+ that were from my HOME IP ADRESS IN MINNESOTA WHERE I LIVE!
The dispute is not how many vacations I take but if I am American. Their line is they are not paying me because they do not allow Costa Rican citizens to have accounts.
I cannot believe I am back on here, but reading some of this just makes me sick. In responding to some of these idiots saying I have 50-100 accounts, I would invite SBR to check with sportsbooks to find an account with my name on it. Also how about this:
At BetEd I got ZERO Bonus, because I didn't know about them!! I guess I was suppose to call BetEd after the first bet and if I won (which you all know I did) was suppose to get 50% bonus of that. Now how many "pros" would not have called or would not have known about this bonus? I would be happy for you all to check this fact with BetEd. Thanks for info about getting bonuses, I guess I would use that next time. However, the only place I will ever be betting again is in Vegas, where I never once had an issue.
Oh yeah, I guess add $250 to what BetEd owes me.Comment -

#113Some weird sh*t here. The last thing on the mind of someone who just got stiffed for 20K is to present the story in pink. Add the name, in a male dominated world, the looking for sympathy, the square act by a sharp player, and so on.
All I see is a highly manipulative personality. If it's about 20K, why all the BS?

#118100+ (plus 7) football bets in six weeks, by someone who just had the sportsbook thing explained to her, while vacationing in CR. That's 20 bets per weekend.
What type of winning percentage do you need to turn 1K into 20K in 120 bets? I could actually figure that out, if it weren't for the overwhelming scent of cheap perfume.Comment -

I don't see any wild theories, all I see is people asking you to support the story you have provided. You claim 100% of this is true, why the sudden objection to providing proof you (as in the name on the account) were vacationing in Costa Rica when the gambling bug bit you? Should be easy to show you were down there when you opened the account and made those 7 bets you mentioned in your first post. No wild theory involved at all, you are telling the truth or you are not. I'd imagine it went something like this....
Hey SexyGamblerChick, want to surf, party or go out on the town? What a beautiful country to have fun in and get away!!
No thanks girls, I was just told how to bet sports, this Pinnacle lean stuff sounds like fun!! As a single mom in another country I will be spending this vacation holed up in some dark office sweating the UL Monroe halftime score!!

Don't you think it natural that your consistent omission of what once once was part of your case makes us suspicious? And don't you think it sensible that we are inclined not to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who seems to have, at best, embellished "her" story just a bit?
I agree with whoever said it above: I smell JJ behind the perfume.
But I'll say again: If BetEd took the bets and they were placed by someone other than a CR citizen, they have to pay, no matter how slimy the bettor.Last edited by atakdog; 11-02-07, 08:06 PM.Comment -

#122I"ve gotta question why SGC says she's getting $1060 back, isn't the standard fee for "Moneygram" $9.95 no matter what the amount?
Unless I'm quite mistaken, I'm certain I seen "Moneygram" as the deposit method...

#124Hey SGC, slightly off topic how come you get all pissed off with those who state they don't believe you, bashing as you call it, yet no sort of positive acknowledgment of those supporting you i.e CURIOUS, he even wants to change the color of the thread in support of you.(nice of him)
At this point i think its safe to say that if you send proof that you were in CR when those 7 plays were made, plus all other documentation needed, and that is confirmed by Bill or any mod you'll have overwhelming suppot from this forum.
My understanding is that even if it wasnt you who made those 7 plays in CR, cause you are a resident of the U.S you are still entitled to the money, however your integrity has certainly got to be questioned as you stated in post 1 that it was you in CR who made those plays, yet when other posters ask you about this you get defensive and don't anwser the 64thousand $ question, thus leaving the impression that at best your a liar.
Most gamblers at one time or another had to bullshit there way out of a situation, be it with a bookmaker, the wife, or whatever so heres your chance to tell us all that it wasn't you in CR who made those 7 plays, and that you embelished the story to get a slight edge, its a trade off a little pride for a little respect.
I know one thing for sure if i were in your situation, and came on here with with your exact story i wouldnt have to be asked a 2nd time by moderator BIGBOYDAN about me sending my info to him ,they would of got it asap.(ANOTHER RED FLAG)

#131Can I get some action on the YES on getting paid?
I just got an email from betED. I am assuming they saw this forum or that Dozer contacted them. It was 100% nice email, and basically said once again that they dont take customers from Costa Rica. They asked for some documentation to clear this matter, and promised to work FULLY with SBR.
We all might have been wrong about them and they might be a stand up book just trying to do the right thing.

this is getting personal here. What the heck is wrong with 280lbs Men.LOL Heck, and that is on a good day!
Here is what I think. If you were in Costa Rica, who was the person who put you in BetEd. I would not believe your story if you told me you just looked them up and sign up for an account. There was someone in the middle. That is the person you should talk to. If BetEd does not pay, then you should put the lean on this person.
THAT IS HOW I SEE IT. If you say you just looked them up out of the blue and signed up, NO ONE on this forum is going to believe you.Comment -

#133No lie. Between this thread, Uncle Murdoch and the Cheese & Jism show, the past few days have been pretty lively around here. And it validates what John told me when I came aboard at SBR nearly two years ago. Got a minute?
John and I were negotiating salary and all that jazz over a few margaritas and cabrito burritos down at Mi Tierra's in the Alamo City. I drove in from my ranchito just north of Montell and I think John had just flown in from the Super Bowl. Doesn't matter. Anyway, we finally got around to talking about retirement/401k, and John tried to low-ball me saying SBR didn't have the money, yadda-yadda-yadda. I mean, c'mon! The man sh¡ts $100 bills!
So we finally met halfway and he agreed to match 50% of my own contributions, telling me not to say anthing about that because he's only matching 40% for both Dozer's and Sean's 401k's...ooops!
John promised me that in addition to the money, I'd also gain a wealth of information to be used for the doctorate in sociology I've been slowly working on at Jim Bob Jumpback's Community College & Feed Store in Barksdale. Plus John told me I'd be able to draw on characters for my fictional works from the characters here at SBR. Man, oh man, he was spot on with that notion.

I know she will probably claim she didn't see my questions in this thread, but after checking her user profile 5 minutes after me posting that question here, I noticed that she just happen to see the question. The only reason I even know that she did was for the simple fact the time stamp I posted it was 7:16 and she was viewing that thread at 7:20.
So once again I ask her... Did she send her documentation to Bill yet... If not why? Could it be that she hasn't mastered the art of using photoshop correctly yet.Comment -

#140I will send everything. betED is asking for some things and Dozer said that he is busy and out of the office until next week and he is going to email me.
As soon as he does and I talk with him, I will send whatever is needed. Of course no one loves to send their personal documents to anyone, but if this is the only way to get my money, you can bet it will go out right away.
Did I find betEd out of the air? No. I knew their lines where bad, and my "friend" bets 10k or more per game and I am can promise you he does not care about a 500/game shop.
I saw the lines, but he told me those lines where like that for a reason and there was a good chance I would not get paid. I hope to prove him wrong.
As you can imagine, my "friend" does not want to be dragged into this. If it takes that to get my money, I am sure he will help. I am sure everyone will say that my "friend" is behind this, and there is nothing I can do about that.
Say whatever you want, but the right thing to do is to pay the money once I prove my citizenship. That is the bottom line I think and does anyone disagree?Comment
