    5dimes phone verification?

Received a phone call to verify a small btc payout. They asked amount user ID password email. Then said going to send the verification email to reply back too which I have gotten before. Never had the phone part before??? What's that all about plus having to provide login info? My acct better not get drained.

yeah I would be a bit leery of a phone call claiming to be a book asking for login details for verification. Not saying this was not legit but I would at mininum ask there name and tell them you will call them back at the number you have for 5dimes or whatever book and then ask for said person.

Wondering the same thing myself. Also, if you miss a call from them can you just call back? Or do they have to be the ones making the call?

Also also, is this really necessary?

You can call back if you miss the call and after that, they pay bitcoin pretty quick, however i had to call the last 3 times to get the payout approved,i cashed out because it is a pain and uncalled for, until they stop this practice,i will not be back,no excuses accepted

They aren't trying to drain your account, they are slowing payout in the hopes you keep playing. Welcome to 5D, Tony is the stingiest POS out there.

Happened to me last week while waiting for a bitcoin payout. I did get 3 calls that day from a 1-888 number but didn’t answer and they didn’t leave a message. Didn’t expect them to call me and I never answer those random numbers. Then they emailed me and I called back and verified. I guess that was them calling from a 1-888 number?

Either way, ive been playing there for years and never had to verify phone number. Definitely just another stall tactic to get you to hopefully blow the payout before they process

Yeah the second time I blew the payout before the call and had to cancel it. So they stall tactic works.

I got the same call for a small BTC payout as well. I spoke to CS and they informed me they just wanted to verify it was me because I login using multiple devices (about 3 or 4) and it was suspicious. They said it was to make sure I wasn't hacked. Makes sense. I got email confirmation an hour later. They said if I continue to use so many devices then I may or may not have to go through the verification again.

Classic 5 Dimes to call a number that has always been associated with the account and ask for a password. They try to ensure "security" by employing the most insecure procedures imaginable. I think I'd respect them slightly more if they required all payouts to be sent via fax.

How long into the process have you guys been getting these calls? And do they come before or after the email that must be responded to?

Over 24 hours since I requested BTC payout and have not received either.

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't gone through the process.

Call came slightly over 24 hours after request from a number that showed up on my phone as something like 23-1 (not a normal looking number). Was asked for account number, password and payout amount. Call was over in 30 seconds.

Email came quickly after and payout was processed within a couple of hours.

Requested a payout the following day and it was processed with no phone call.

I agree on the surface seems silly, but if the answer to their questions for a simple 30 seconds saves us 25 "My 5 Dimes Account was hacked into and a bet was placed on Tibet soccer then money withdrawn without my authorization" threads, isn't that a positive thing?

I've seen delays from them for just casino wins, its a stall tactic they use. I have not been ripped off though, so I'm assuming folks will be paid out in due time unless of course there was foul play...

I'm all for acct security... but 5D isn't stupid... I think they could of figured a way by now to properly pay a client within 24 hours... (like other sportsbooks) but rather stall.

I haven't asked for a PO request since this new "phone verification". And honestly... it sounds like a huge turn off to me. I never answer my phone when I don't know who's number it is...

Heritage verification system is so simple.... send a text code... enter it... and you're done.

5Dimes just refuses to be simple.

No question their software, hardware whatever, is very 1990's-2000ish. They just, at the end of last year got the https web site "protocol."

I like Heritage, but their selection of markets isn't even close to what 5Dimes has to offer. I can live with a day or two of stalling as long as I get paid. I figure if that I'm really that desperate to receive the money immediately, then I've done something wrong.

That’s strange. Once I get the email asking to confirm the BTC address, the payout is usually processed within hours. It’s the waiting for the verification step to come that usually takes the longest.

Last week I withdrew from 5Dimes. I sent the request Sunday night and received an email Monday afternoon that they tried to contact me and I didn't answer (however I never got a call on my phone). I called their CS number, the rep asked for my account number, password, and withdrawal amount. Tuesday morning, I got the email asking to confirm my bitcoin address, I replied 10 minutes after and got the Bitcoin about 2.5 hours after replying.

That's what they usually do,they lie about calling the customer, then when one calls they pay pretty quick, still uncalled for and no excuses accepted
