    Canbet Sportsbook payout issues update - Canbet Director comments..

    A director of Canbet Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) has provided comment to SBR on the recent accumulation of player payout complaints.     I got my money, but that crappy phone number. They had an answering machine on that number, said they would call back, which they did not. It was also impossible to send emails to them. Then I started to be suspicious and withdrew most of my money, when they at last started to receive e-mails again.

    I got 500 euro 18/9 and 1100 euro 16/9. Then there were problems with finding games to play and contacting them via e-mail. Calling them was impossible, only an answering machine. Seems I was right in my suspicion.

    What a load of spin from Canbet! I love how the director mentions: "... we have had an issue with our payment processing platform which has resulted in some cases, unusual long delays in acceptance of their deposits or remittance of their withdrawals ..."

    Funny thing is, I haven't seen one complaint here, on their twitter stream (@CanbetSports), or their facebook page from a customer complaining about delays in accepting deposits! So it begs the question, has anyone had a problem with Canbet accepting their money? Furthermore, if we accept that these problems have caused a backlog of pending withdrawals, then their finance team must be quite incompetent if they can't manually process these extra couple of dozen requests for payment.

    And another thing, if it is solely a problem with the payment processing platform, then their customer service team must have been inept from the start, because without multiple nagging, you are unlikely to receive a response.

    I'd suggest there are dozens (if not hundreds) more customers who are blissfully unaware of the SBR forum, so their frustrations have been limited to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. (Coincidentally, a long thread containing customer complaints was removed from Canbet's facebook page only a few days ago.)

    I hope SBR will continue to pressure these directors until they begin to act in a fully transparent manner and treat their customers as people, rather than units of currency. I see no evidence of this happening yet.

    Transparency (or lack of)

    mojobullfrog mentioned the Facebook complaint threads being taken off but I have also noticed that Canbet are also no longer publishing messages relating to non-payments on their Twitter page. They instead seem to have upped significantly the number of tweets, mostly on American sport. The only Tweet relating to payments that I can find from the last week is a lucky punter finally confirming payment and Canbet thanking them for their patience.

    I emailed their CS department yesterday to say that I have complained to SBR. The good news is that I got a reply back. The bad news is that their reply contained the exact same words as in the email they had sent me in their previous correspondence ten days ago.

    It will be interesting to see what compensation they intend to give us poor sods!

    Well they did not run away, its possible they offered way too many perks and players got hot. I see website keeps improving too meaning they are putting money into it, the worst case scenario is they are bought out again. They have an old school brand name which helps them. A pioneer in online betting business.

    Call me strange, but I don't understand why anyone would want to support a brand (in any line of commercial interest) that has treated its core customer base so poorly, irrespective of whether they were around in 1995 or not. Especially when there are alternative books that offer consistently better odds, with better web interfaces, superior customer service, and no cash flow issues (oops, I meant "technical issues".)

    Just received my both outstanding withdrawals this morning (mid 4fig after 14 and 24 days). Besides filling SBR complain form I have never complained anywhere publicly. Have sent just 2 polite emails to canbet customer service and ALWAYS got reply within 3 hours. I was also compensated with 50eur free bet for a withdrawal delay. Cannot understand some people that are rather arrogant and vulgar in their comments on facebook or twitter. Personally I don't think this is the way to get their payouts faster. I'd suggest to be more polite. Canbet doesn't seem to plan to run away with your money, I still have funds in my account and will continue betting with them.

    Payment not received from Canbet

    Iam from INDIA.
    I haven't received my payout from 7 days.I emailed several times about my payout but i didn't got any reply from them until today.I need to get 400 euros and still 1000 euros sitting in my account.

    Today i got a reply from them about my payment.Below is the message they have emailed:

    Thank you for contacting us.
    We appreciate your patience while our finance team work around the clock manually processing the withdrawal requests.
    Whilst it is taking longer than we originally expected we are getting closer to being back up to date.
    We apologise for the delays associated with your withdrawal request, and can confirm that we are doing everything we can to ensure that there are no delays like this in the future.
    You will receive an email once your withdrawal request has been processed.

    CANBET withdrawal frustration

    It's more than a month I made the request of €195 but up-to-date I haven't seen anything in my card from canbet.
    I also got a similar reply from the support team claiming is due to back log.
    I wish they do something as early as possible.

    where to now..

    I have been waiting for a month for my withdrawal of over $5000. Today I receive an email stating that my withdrawal has been declined because I did not satisfy the turnover requirements of my last bonus. Not sure why this took a month to tell me this and they had already rejected my first withdrawal as they said the maximum withdrawal allowed was $4000. I am sure I completed the turn over requirements and by a fair way. I called them straight away and was fed some rubbish that there risk team would need to investigate and that they would get back to me. The email also stated that they would investigate my account to determine my correct balance and then let me know. Not sure if this will take another month but it just feels like they are trying everything to just not pay me. Not sure of what steps to take next! Made a complaint with SBR 3 weeks ago. Have called Canbet customer service every week since and was told by Michael every time that I would be paid the following week.....

    I've been waiting over 35 days and ibas and gambling comission both stated canbet have given same technical reason so they arent doing anything. It amazes me that they cant even be forced to provide and stick to a payment date . It looks like legal action may be the only choice

    Truly appalling. Especially given its just a technical issue and they have been working round the clock manually processing payments. Must be some queue.

    Any news from Canbet themselves?? They have to give an detailed explanation of why it takes so long. It's impossible to have such issues for more 6 weeks.. They must really be in financial problems

    And do some players have been paid last week? If not, then it looks like they will go down in the near future

    Without knowing your full details it's difficult to comment. Normally, if we were dealing with a reputable bookmaker, I'd suggest they may well have found a discrepency and need to investigate further. However, in full context of their shambolic/illegal non-payment behaviour over the past few months, it's hard not to think Canbet is exploring every desperate method not to pay people. Otherwise, why would they wait a month after your request to tell you your turnover requirements weren't fulfilled?

    I would strongly suggest you send a formal complaint to the UK Gambling Commission - and use forceful language to get them to act. These guys regulate Canbet, but don't seem interested unless you follow their protocol. At least, that's the impression I get from following all the talk in twitter (their twitter handle is @GamRegGB.)

    I received 2 payments last night. Maybe it was the fact I e-mailed them telling them I was filing a complaint against them or maybe it was my turn in the queue. I had been e-mailing them every week and getting the same excuses than all of you.
    I made a complaint with IBAS and Gambling Commission yesterday evening, money was in my Skrill account less than 24 hours later.
    1. Withdrawal 320€ requested on 16-October. Received after 34 days.
    2. Withdrawal 405€ requested on 21-October. Received after 29 days.
