Yeah people who try to cheat on an industrial scale like that are pretty much stealing directly off you and I as honest bettors long term.

    All driven by greed.

5 years does seem like stiff sentence for multi accounting and bonus abuse though.

Im saying b365 are greedy, cant jail the dude.

But reading more, i think its more to do with Santander bank, rather 365, so i guess that's fair.

Agreed. This might be why the U.S. books have been so reluctant to offer reload bonuses.

The court had heard how people willingly gave their details over to Howard, who then impersonated them to access Bet365 services.
This enabled him to utilise bonuses and circumvent the company’s checks and balances.

if thats all he did, its bs...

He likely paid them or gave them some type of a %. There is a huge black market for b365 accounts.

Yeah but its against the terms of service, I doubt its against the law if I gave you money to put on a bet for me.
they do it in physical shops all the time.

but i think he screwed over santander bank with chargebacks

Probably not sure of UK laws. Most people who buy the B365 accounts don't even bother with the bonus. I thought that may have been what snagged him. If I could get a dozen unlimited b365 accounts I would be very content not to take bonuses or do chargebacks.

They got him for fraud, pretending to be other people to banks and book for financial gain.

But the big one was money laundering.

Doesn't sound like legal issues were about broken book terms.

It says they found 1000 accounts and he made under 300k. So 200 odd dollars/pounds per account profit. Must not have been doing anything more than the bonuses at a guess from those numbes.
