I agree it doesn't look good. Malta has a poor history of getting no pay books to pay out anything when they go down. We will have to see, but this is a very bad sign.

No, it is offline, too.

What makes me wonder is the fact that just last Thursday they asked me for verification of my bank account. That makes no sense if they were about to close without paying.
My only idea is that LGA has forced them to close.

It depends if it's an organised shutdown or not. If they saw the writing on the wall a month back and applied for bankruptcy etc, it can go that way. Some people get paid off via sale of assets etc. This was what happened with portlandbet and a few others.

If they've spent every last penny and have debts, we're all kinda screwed.

Better hope is somewhere buys them out, like bookmaker with betjoint.

The fact that they still respond quickly to emails makes me believe that this is no intended closure.

I am thinking of two possibilities what has happened:
1) LGA has become aware of financial problems and does not allow them to take any more bets and make payouts,
2) Management has vanished and the staff really tries to do what they can.

Has anybody managed to get in contact to LGA? I have sent them an email on Wednesday, but as always they ignore it.

I phoned LGA this morning. They cannot tell me anything till investigation will be finished. They even dont know estimated time of investigation... And obviously they cant confirm if payouts will be done as GV says...

Did they tell you if it was them who instructed GV to stop betting and payouts?
What were their reasons for that?

2 days ago, I have sent them an email but the answer is always the same. According to them, Goldvictory are still under legal proceedings and as soon they have any developments of the case they will update me. So I have learn nothing new.

Reply received today from Maltese Criminal Courts, email only sent last night so alot quicker and more informative than the waste of space LGA, not much in the way of good news but an update of sorts none the less.

Dear...............

I refer to your email regarding the case Police versus Dimitros Drosos. The case is still in its initial phase where the prosecution is bringing forward their case in front of the presiding magistrate. The next hearing shall be heard on the 27th August 2009. The time frame cannot really be anticipated as a lot depends on the amount of witnesses that will be presented both by the prosecution as well as by the defense.

This is really some new information and is more helpful than that of LGA. But there is still the question of money, which Drosos has stolen. If the police has this money, then we should get our money back. But who knows, where are the money now. And who cares about that? Only players of Goldvictory. :-(

In order for me to me able to tell you whether the users of Goldvictory are represented during the trial I need to access the file of the Court proceedings. Unfortunately this file is at the moment at the Attorney General’s office and will be sent back to court around the middle of August. Once I have access to the file I will forward you a reply to your query.

Hi i contacted my **** card company to see if they could refund me the money i deposited in these thieves accounts but the told me i needed a valid refund voulcher in order to process the their claim as i can no longer get a responce from them they say they cant help me its all a load of bollix seem like you can set up an online gaming buisness and scam load of money and get away with it the lgas a joke and
and **** card protection is a a joke too.
