SportsInteraction not paying out - American relocated to Canada
    Hello,

I have a five figure balance at SportsInteraction but unfortunately they are refusing to pay me out. I'm an American who has relocated to Canada and set up bank accounts etc. I've had no problems with other poker sites or sportsbooks but SportsInteraction is demanding Canadian ID (which I cannot get as a tourist) or a tourist **** (which I cannot get as an American because I do not need a ****). Their support has been very unhelpful, just sending mostly unrelated form replies to my questions. Has anyone been in this situation and know of a solution?

    Thanks!

EDIT: The **** should be v.i.s.a. Not sure why that's edited out...

Are you a Canadian resident? What is your lawful residence?

It is the sole responsibility of the Sports Interaction member to ensure that he or she is fully compliant with all laws relating to online activity and/or gambling in the jurisdiction of the member's lawful residence

Participation in the activities and games of Sports Interaction is open only to residents of those jurisdictions where such participation is legal and not prohibited. Participation is void wherever prohibited by SportsInteraction.com. Sports Interaction does not accept membership applications from persons residing or located in France, Denmark, Spain, Australia, Italy or the USA.

Did you ever log in from the USA? Do you have proof of residence in Canada? Do you work in Canada?

How did you get this account successfully set up in the first place. What identification did you give them when you signed up? And what country is your I.d. From

I'm American but I now live outside of the country because I can't play poker in the US anymore. I'm not an "official" Canadian resident although I effectively live here (and travel elsewhere abroad as well). Apparently my US passport isn't sufficient to verify my age but a Canadian ID or v.i.s.a. would work. I'm considering going to back to school so that may solve my issue, but I'd prefer to get this sorted out right now.

And no, I haven't logged in from the US. I don't live there anymore, only occasionally go back for short periods.

File a complaint with SBR. They are good folks there. They may be bound in some way to verify via a DL. You should get one anyway because this is going to pop up again and they are easy to get while you have a valid US DL.

Do you at least have a utility bill? Sounds like you are in Canada on the temporary **** for tourists and travelers which makes you a visitor not a resident. If you are on another more longterm ****, prove it to them.

yes, i've already sent a utility bill and they've accepted it. it's only the ID that is an issue.

I might get banned again because this book is a sponsor

But I have heard some bad things about this book. As in multiple people threatening them with bombs and slashing tires at their location for bad business practices and basically fuking with people for no good reason. I'm not sure how recent this was though

I also know of a friend who was allowed to deposit thousands of dollars into an account there but was then told they didn't want his business because they had doubts about his address. When he said to just payout to his moneybookers account they refused, and when he offered to physically come by and pick up a check because he didn't live far away they refused also. They stated the only way they would refund his deposits was for them to send checks to the address on file, the same one they refused to accept as his address

Update: The player has not satisfactorily passed the KYC process to confirm relocation to Canada. SIA has opted to exercise its right as a business to not service him any longer, a move necessitated by strict licensing procedures.

His balance will of course be paid in full. He will have the option of leaving his bet open on the Super Bowl and having it settled as normal, or he has the option of cancelling the bet (cutoff on this good faith offer being 5:30PM ET).

I don't get this book ... I signed up with them in 2012, I don't think I made a deposit with them (or maybe I made a small deposit) and they closed my account - no explanation given.

Many sportsbooks remove dormant unused accounts.

hi, thank you for helping out with this. i've now received 2 withdrawals for a total of roughly half of the account balance. i haven't been contacted regarding canceling the super bowl bet and can no longer login but at this point i'd be okay with canceling the bet and having the whole account cashed out. if you can relay this info that would be great, or i can confirm by e-mail/phone.

thanks again to SBR Forum - this is a huge weight off my shoulders as its a large amount of money to me.

Just made my first deposit with SportsInteraction and they say i can;t bet on live events. This is the first bookie that says such a thing, bad start.
