So I went over a year without logging into my sportsbook.com account, where I had about $1200. When I discovered that my balance was zero, I contacted customer service. They pointed me to the house rules, which state that inactive accounts (i.e., accounts where no money bet is placed for are charged a $100 maintenance fee.
I've had an account there since 2007, but today is the first I've ever heard of this policy. OK, maybe I should have checked in on the account at some point, but I still think I'm getting screwed. The policy provides that management may restore the funds at its discretion, and I'd like to think they are smart enough to do that, but time will tell.
I know most people don't go a year or more without placing a bet, but this still infuriates me. Am I crazy on this?
