Everything stops there. Xavi and Iniesta are very controlling. Let's explain with stats: Iniesta this season: 23 games, goals 7, Assist 3 Messi this season: 20 games, goals 24, Assist 15 Xavi this season: 20 games, goals 3, Assist 5 Ronaldo this season: 23 games, goals 24, assist 7
Ah the famous stats again. Your a lost case. Just think who enable those guys to play their game, the cores of the team. Would you think Barca could be so dominating to play 90% of the game on the oppositions half without Xavi and Iniesta? Right..

    Enjoy the games.

Nope I do not think that!! They will dominate more with Xavi and Iniesta.
But will they win the same amount of games, no...

Football is abouth winning, dominating is only good when you can combine it with winning the game, without it you are sh*t.

Winning comes forth out of dominating games. You hardly can't win without dominating, or you must be a Italian.

Anyways nuff said. Gonna enjoy the game

Ronaldo this season: 23 games, goals 24, assist 7
your football knowledge is coming through sport-sites, or sportcasters opinions... these stats really telling half the truth.
Where in these numbers can you notice the interceptions, the steals, the through-the middle passes, the "making space moves with or off the ball", the leadership and the dominance on the field during a game????

Messi is a great player, but he is nothing without that kind of midfielders. Ronaldo too.
This guy talked about Total Football, a kind of possesion and pressing game that Barcelona developed last years and took it in a higher level, than Flying Dutch did.

i am Greek and i had a real argument with this guy a few days earlier, but now he is right. So don't be brainless, you know he has something to say.

I was not talking abouth possesion or totall game. I was talking abouth the effect Xavi or Iniesta would have on an average team or CR or Messi would. So you could see which one would be the most important, the most effective change, that's all.

And i watch football all my life. I just have another opinion on the game. I would prefer excellent wing players and good centre forward above 2 excellent midfielders.

we cannot discuss, cause all the time you change the factors of a single case we talk.
*my reference to total football had to do of a past post and how Ajax changed world football some decades earlier.

Xavi is the best player in the world right now.
The best players among the years and i mean the legends used to be MIDFIELDERS.
This is the type of the game. A midfielder is the machine. World class strikers or forwards can really give energy to the team they play for, but they cannot be priductive enough without great Mdfldrs. This is not my point of you on the game.
              This is objectively accepted.

Quarterbacks are always the best players at NFL... This is the type of the game...

Aris was too tough to beat. They have been something else so far this year in European play. They had some good chances to score with some nice offensive runs in the second half too against a much more powerful team with a huge budget and very expensive players.

Just thought I'd add this to your thread.
