I was waiting for the line to move in favour of Mexico as we got closer to game time and it has done just that. Haiti will be Mexico's hardest opponent in group play. The last time these sides met was at the 2019 Gold cup where the game was won 1-0 by Mexico in extra time. Haiti are in good form here coming into the match having won 6 straight. Value on Haiti getting a goal and a half so I'm hoping they can keep it close.

I have no idea why the books are giving out plus money odds on Costa Rica. Both sides lost their opening game but El Salvador lost as a favourite. El Salvador are just really bad, they only have 1 win in their past 15 games and that was to lowly Granada. Costa Rica has played El Salvador twice recently both were 2-1 wins by Costa Rica. I made the Ticos as 1.91/-110 favourites so I'm dropping 2 units on the money line.

Wasn't sure which way to go on this one tonight. Mexico should win but it was so damn expensive there wasn't an edge.

The line here opened up where I had the match pegged at 2.25/+125. Its been nothing but money on Panama to the point where I will now back Qatar at +1. These sides last met at a non official friendly which Qatar won 2-1 in 2022 and at the last Gold cup the result was a 3-3 draw. There is not much separating these sides as far as Rankings goes 57 & 58 in FIFA and dead even in the ELO ranks.

Mexico are the better side and should come away with a win here. However I'm not backing them at these odds. Looking back at the last 4 head to head games here since 2021 the results were 0-0, 0-1, 0-0 & 0-1. Mexico won 2 and drew 2. I was also considering the MEX win to nil option but I missed the +125 price. Hoping for a low scoring affair.

Well I waited in hopes that fans would flock on the fav Mexico and I could get Jamaica at +1. That did not happen, clearly the cat is out of the bag and Jamaica are being respected here. I still think this goes the distance as the winner of this game will win the Gold Cup. If I did not have a future on Jamaica I would have put 2 units on this game.
